(CNN) The partner of Ebola patient Thomas Duncan is quarantined in her Dallas apartment where Duncan became sick with the virus after his trip to Liberia, the woman told CNNs Anderson Cooper.
The woman, who asked to be identified only by her first name, Louise, is quarantined with one of her children under 13 and two nephews in their 20s because they were in apartment when Duncan became ill, Cooper said.
Duncan, a 42-year-old Liberian citizen, is now hospitalized in Dallas.
But Louise remains in her apartment, and shes worried, not knowing what to do and waiting on federal health officials, Cooper said.
She doesnt know how shes going to get food into the apartment. She was told she said maybe the Red Cross would come by. Shes still waiting for that, Cooper said.
Some health officials brought sandwiches last night, but she hasnt had anything today, Cooper said Thursday. Shes certainly kind of at loose ends and is obviously extremely worried.
Coopers interview with Louise will air Thursday evening on CNNs AC360˚.

Intellectual functioning of 70-80 is borderline intellectual functioning, aka BIF, and is more common than most people think-learning disabilities, such as dyslexia figure heavily into it, too.
80 and above gets you into the “normal” IQ range, and more people across the board are in the 90-100 range than those who score above that.
As a workers comp case manager, I worked with clients all over the intellectual scale in various occupations-and IQ scores do not determine common sense or a lack of stupidity-those are learned skills...
Ignorance is the problem here-not IQ...
I think I met that guy last week in the airport. So, I'll stay home for the next 3 weeks.
Tonight I would like 2 large peperoni pizzas please. Also, a six pack of Heineken. Please have them here by 5:00 PM.
Well isn't that just lovely.
I think I read that it does survive at temps well below zero. Heat on the other hand at the required temperature and time is a way to ensure demise.
When the cases get high... Hop a plane to the sky...
Thats Ebola.
When your fever gets high... and you puke pizza pie...
Thats Ebola.
Come sing-a-ling, come sing-a-ling, come sing-a-ling.
When the fever is high...with pain in your thigh...
Thats Ebola.
When the blood starts to flow...on a plane you will go...
Thats Ebola.
Thats Ebola.
When the world starts to spin...like you drank to much gin..
Thats Ebola.
Ha, that’s exactly what I was thinking...
It’s freakin’ Ebola people! who cares where her next sandwich is coming from!
“Where the World (Ebola) Turns”..new soap opera, brought to you by the looney libs.
I’ve been saying all along that once people find out what a quarantine is really like - they may not risk it.
“You know - this fever and sore throat is probably just the flu. And no way am I going to see the doc now. He’ll say it is Ebola and put me in quarantine for a week until all the tests come back.”
And then two days later he’s puking all over the front lawn.
Thanks for a laugh on this depressing thread! FReepers are the greatest!
What, Cooper didn’t have any sammiches on him? Couldnt run to QT and get some for her? Isn’t CNN liberal or some such that like to take care of the downtrodden?
I’m sure where those people live is a Liberian community set up in Dallas.
I have a few more verses, they just roll off my vibrant sense of humor.
‘To America you go...to visit your Ho...
That’s Ebola.’
I can go on and on...lol.
Quarantine is no fun, but it used to be fairly common in the US even for things like measles and such (before the vaccines).
If it’s a whole neighborhood, obviously, somebody has to make sure they get food and services. Maybe the Red Cross or something more competent than our stupid treasonous government, such as the Salvation Army, could do it.
Does walmart.com accept EBT cards? I know that we could order lots of food from various places on line and even the schwan foods for frozen stuff using a credit card or Dr. card. They could just leave it on the front patio to avoid exposure.
I can’t believe that she doesn’t even have a day’s worth of food in the house. Of course I can’t believe that everyone doesn’t stock at least 1-3 months of food.
We already have almost 300 sq feet of pantry items stored, and three small freezers almost full.
I just need to do a replacement buy for what we have used the last week or so. We’d miss fresh milk, and eggs.
Seriously. I know people like this.
Once or twice a day they meander (they don’t move very fast) to the local quickie mart and meander over to the buffet counter and order a sack full of food.
Quickie mart buffets around here take EBT.
They shuffle back home and eat on that food until it’s gone.
Then they go out and get more.
It’s not that the apartment doesn’t have a stove or refrigerator. Or that they don’t know how to use them. Why should they use them? It’s free, swipe yo EBT.
Did Cooper actually go IN the apartment? Was he wearing a bunny suit?

Quarantined woman, children were in home with Ebola patient
CNN

CNN’s Anderson Cooper spoke with “Louise,” a woman quarantined after her contact with Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan.
It was an ER nurse and no a nurse just doesn’t give antibiotics on her own....a freaking doctor has to prescribe them!
Lots of different kinds of pasta and dehydrated potatoes, many tins of veggies and fruit, PB, jellies, packets for making beer bread and muffins, tins of salmon, dry cereals, instant oatmeal, and tins of soup.
I could last at least 3 months if I rationed everything.
Pathetic isn’t it? I know hubby and I are not normal and no we are not preppers but there is always about a months supply of food in our house. Yeah we would have to make do without some things but we could eat.
The welfare generation is so short sighted.
Scary movie!
