NATIONAL REVIEW
SEPTEMBER 30, 2014 12:34 PM
God save us from self-professed "conservatives" who will announce they'll stay home on Election Day as a demonstration of their power.
Because as we all know, you become more influential in politics and government and public life by staying home and doing less.
....
Does the "I'm staying home" crowd apply this to everything in life? "I don't like the way the company is run, so I'm not going to work."
"Honey, I'm just not happy with your performance as a spouse, so I'm going to be less active in the marriage until you improve."
"Kids, I'm disappointed with your performance in school. Until you improve, I'm ignoring you."
The thing is, I wonder how often the "I'm staying home this year" crowd voted before. In fact, I wonder if they ever vote.
I don't understand the "I've never been more fearful for the future of this country, but I'm not willing to do anything about it" mentality.
Ronald Reagan is not walking through that door, folks.

Nice fiction.
“sometimes we have to vote the keep the worse of two evils from getting elected.”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
That’s about all I ever have done. I can’t recall when I had someone to vote FOR and in ‘92, ‘96, ‘08 and ‘12 we got the worse of two evils anyway.
Entertainment Ping
If they are not voting, they are not conservatives, they are Obama supporters.
It is that simple.
Yep. That’s it in a nutshell.
That’s how feel as well.
I’m challenging these GOPe stalwarts to choose between a constitutionalist or a statist. They should realize of course that if they don’t vote for the constitutionalists, they are voting for the statist. Of course I can hear them whining the constitutionalist can’t win, but actually, if Republicans campaigned and voted for the constitutionalist, he could win.
Of course my suggestion would be rejected because down deep, they don’t want a constitutionalist. They want the statist.
Yeah, see that kind of attempted insult for shame's sake is as insipid as accusing anyone who disagrees with you 'racists'.
That ship don't float with me.
That kind of crap just illustrates the depths the Ruling Class and their stooges will go to in order to attempt to silence dissent and critique.
You are very much that which you accuse pal.
There are a lot of people posting on a 100 percent conservative website that perhaps shouldn't be.
If the Democrat was conservative, I would vote for him too. “R” has no loyalty to me, therefore I owe none to them.
Don’t know what Geraghty’s so exercised about. He got all the candidates he wanted.
On to “victory”!
>>Youve been off the thread for an hour and now you back with three posts in a row accusing us of voting democrat.<<
I was busy. Making a living. I do tech work and am in “hurry up and wait” telecommuting mode. Not that I owe the likes of you an explanation but I did not want your liberal-like slur to stand un-addressed.
But that doesn’t change your vote. non-votes or (saints preserve us) “protest votes” were all votes for obozo.
Romney would have not been great but we would not have obozocare, hitlery as SS and of course holder as racist in chief.
Ad homeinem and clueless is no way to go through life, sonny boy.
If it's so simple, then explain how my vote [which wasn't for him] helped him.
Excellent quote, thank you for sharing it.
>>You are very much that which you accuse pal.<<
I voted the most conservative viable candidate at the time.
By your own admission you voted for obozo. Twice.
Ja’accuse mis amigo.
Bravo! The GOPe pulled Newt out of the Virginia primary on a technicality and 40% of the (depressed turnout) vote went to Ron Paul as a signal that Mitt Romney was not what we wanted.
Ignoring the conservative ire cost Eric Cantor his seat! It will keep costing them if they keep shoving their pablum down our throats!
That is a great point to continually remind the stooges for the Ruling Class about.
The GOP-e believes that Conservatism cannot win elections, that it is an 'extreme' and 'corrosive' ideology.
So, since the GOP says Conservatism cannot win, then why do the GOP hacks and their lackeys here spend so much time and vitriol attempting to intimidate Conservatives into voting for oligarchs who declared war on them?
The GOP should be able to win in a landslide without Conservatives - all they need to do is pander to Mexican nationals and 'moderate' liberals for the votes they intend to replace ours with anyway.
>>If it’s so simple, then explain how my vote [which wasn’t for him] helped him.<<
I am not to whom you addressed this but it is on the thread thus in play (courtesy cc to Drango).
May I suggest you get a book on arithmetic. We are dealing with negative numbers so it might have to be 7th grade or beyond. It is integers so no need for fractions or that pesky long division.
There — all better.
Why Vote to get inside the Stadium when you can sit on the Tailgate of your Pickup Truck in the Parking Lot eating Barbeque and complaining about the other guys playing against your Team?
People Voted Third Party or didn’t bother Voting at all and they whine about Obama? Welcome to Free Republic. LOL
Heck, they whine about the Guy that didn’t get Elected. Talk about an exercise in futility. Water under the Bridge.
Doesn’t make any difference. The Country as founded is over.
Ignoring the conservative ire cost Eric Cantor his seat!

Something happening in Virginia....
I don’t really like Gillespie and if Warner were not so lock step with BO (he has dissented a couple of times but..)..
However Warner camp has pulled out the ENRON card on Gillespie.
To me, that doesn’t sound like Warner all that convinced??
My ‘no RINO or GOPe’ etc is for Pres and possible GOv - local and especially House and Senate, #’s are important
You likely see a lot of local GOP party chairmen etc demanding the party line be honored or else. It happens every election cycle. Every election cycle their guy gets in, like Rand Paul, Corker, etc sells us out, and the nation falls deeper into the abyss. Some have through the years wised up. Some have not because they have a vested interest {position within the party even at a county or precient level} that may not be retained should the GOP-E loose it's hold on elections. I find in general they are wishy washy on Conservative issues as well.
