God save us from self-professed "conservatives" who will announce they'll stay home on Election Day as a demonstration of their power.
Because as we all know, you become more influential in politics and government and public life by staying home and doing less.
....
Does the "I'm staying home" crowd apply this to everything in life? "I don't like the way the company is run, so I'm not going to work."
"Honey, I'm just not happy with your performance as a spouse, so I'm going to be less active in the marriage until you improve."
"Kids, I'm disappointed with your performance in school. Until you improve, I'm ignoring you."
The thing is, I wonder how often the "I'm staying home this year" crowd voted before. In fact, I wonder if they ever vote.
I don't understand the "I've never been more fearful for the future of this country, but I'm not willing to do anything about it" mentality.
Ronald Reagan is not walking through that door, folks.

Duly noted that you're A-OK with voting for evil.
I like much of what you say but allowing innocent babies to be murdered is not a passive act anymore than it would be to allow one citizen to murder another. The force of government has role in preventing or at least punishing murder.
I will support a conservative candidate regardless of party label but I do have my litmus test. If no one can pass my test, I’ll do a write in and I’ll write myself in if there is no acceptable alternative.
Evil is evil. What hath light to do with darkness?
"Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost. -- John Quincy Adams
Some of us who are called perfectionists aren't all that hard to please — in my case I want people who:
perfect candidatewho doesn't exist? (One freeper accused me of being too generous.)
The only repub president I HAPPILY pulled the lever for was Reagan. Since 07, I will not pull the lever unless I am happy to. I sleep a whole lot better at night.
Can't do that when the GOP-E is either rigging or sabotaging said primaries.
If the GOP can't produce a suitable candidates Oh Well. Maybe they'll try harder next year but they lost my vote for that year. It goes elsewhere because I look elsewhere.
I leave people with this one thought. John McCain has cost us far more damage as a candidate GOP-E approved than my -I or one time -D vote for US senator has. Don't flame me on the DEM choice either. It was the right choice. It was a Conservative DEM {far right of the GOP choice} who got on the DEMs Ticket by default as the only one running against Senator Bob "Dems Old Reliable Friend" Corker. The DEMs had a meltdown and sue to have the guy removed LOL.
How?
How did my vote, which wasn't for Obama, somehow equate to one for him?
Please explain this, and the underlying principle, to me.
Moreover, I wish to know how Romney would unquestionably have been a better president; consider well that the Republican party cannot be held to hold his feet to the fire
, for as they do not do that to their opposition
how can it be counted on for their man
?
You need to go back and take a High School civics class. Harry Reid thanks you.
Amen.
>>You are insane and getting sicker by the minute.<<
You are the one who voted for obozo.
Talk about insanity....
>>THE GOP is the ENEMY<<
Thus, we should vote democrat like you did.
>>You and your pals in the DNC have a common enemy: Conservatives, and you let it show.<<
And yet, you voted democrat.
Talk about projection....
I’ve never stayed home.
After reading so many comments on this thread, I just see this as another desperate attempt to recruit the very people the GOPe does not want anywhere near its seats of power. The elitists feel they own that and have earned it after years of service to the party regardless of any harm they have doe to our country. I can understand that kind of greed and lust but I’ll be damned if I will approve it.
Rather than convince conservatives they should support the GOPe for positive reasons, all you offer is a litany of negative reasons. We are not Dems? No kidding but you think like Dems and want the same thing they want, a place in government to preen yourself. Is there anything you can do to win conservative loyalty? I have not seen a single attempt to do that. What have you fixed that you broke (trust)? You haven’t fixed anything. Did Cochran step down? No, not that that would be enough.
Bottom line is I, and apparently many more here are not frightened by your tactics. We will not enable any more elitist power mongers. My litmus test is simple, but you don’t care what I want, it’s only what you want.
Good luck but no thanks.
it is perfectly acceptable, reasonable, and moral for people to say:
ALL my efforts go into conservative candidates in the primary season. And after that, I skip the fall election and then fill out my secret ballot and refuse to discuss whom I voted for in NOV.
But it is absurd to:
1. largely skip the primary process and then
2. put your energy into the fall race ... going negative on every flawed GOP candidate that one can find.
3. And then discuss endlessly why conservatives should vote for none of the above.
You WANT conservatives to support the GOPe?
NOT GONNA HAPPEN AGAIN. EVER.
The GOP is the party of al Qaeda (ask McCain)
and open borders (ask Boehner)
and imposed ObamaCARE (ask Romney).
Are you drunk?
You’ve been off the thread for an hour and now you back with three posts in a row accusing us of voting democrat.
Son, its too early to be knocking them back that fast.
If you voted for a flaming Liberal, what does that make you then?
You are what you eat and you eat crap sandwiches.
