"Navy sailors...." I suppose this is as opposed to Marine, Army or Air Force sailors? Anyway Sorry folks, you're probably as shocked as I am that the PC attitude and envirowackos have become so imbedded in to our armed forces. But it's been bubbling for a long time so this shouldn't be treated like it's a new story. And it isn't just the armed forces. Most major businesses have had this mind numbing BS in place for years. Am I glad I'm retired? Uh, hell yeah. I don't know how many more diversity sessions, break out groups, quality circles, inlcusiveness trainings, cultural correctness meetings I could have withstood. :>}

Nearly everybody in US MILITARY who is anybody has resigned, retired, been purged or is out processing.

Prayers are up for those chained to their oars.

So 0 is in process of destroying the military. No surprise there.

Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, so my shortfall in grabbing the General Officer brass ring simply doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t have been a very good General Officer anyway, so the Army certainly made the right decision in my case. But, I think that this generation of General and Flag Officers are a product of a decision making process that has gone off the tracks. They are selecting the very best records, but those records are built on a house of cards where ambition, phony accomplishments, and devotion to the bureaucracy of the service rather than to the warrior ethos and character that used to distinguish the true leaders from the rest of us is no longer present.

I often butted heads with senior officers whom I thought were wrong headed, but these guys have all signed up for the wrong stuff and anyone with the right stuff has been cast aside. I am still waiting for the first General or Flag Officer to resign over the behavior of this Administration. I don’t think that it will happen, they are all drinking the kool aid.

I caught some morning propaganda and I chuckled some at “British RAF planes” attacked something that I don’t recall.

I remarked to my wife about who else’s RAF could it be?

A military leadership that enforces dictates that two homos in the armed forces are the same equivalent as a “husband and wife” is a military leadership I don’t trust on anything. Not a damn thing.

Okay seriously, I don’t mind the zero-defect mentality — The mere existence of it saves lives. However, you don’t have to destroy a Sailor for making a mistake, teach them what they did wrong and as long as they didn’t kill anyone move on — It’s what my Chiefs did for me and it’s what I did for my Sailors.

Now about the PC culture — That is NOT the Navy I grew up in so of course I hate it — Which includes gays in the military. Gays in the military DOES NOT make the military a fiercer fighting force and therefore is unjustified. If someone, anyone at all could convince me having homos serving would make the military a fiercer fighting force and more capable of seeking, finding, and destroying the enemy, I would be the first one to encourage having homos serve in the military, but in fact, it has the complete opposite effect — Great job obunghole.

Why are people leaving the Navy, because we are fed up with politicians treating the military as some GD social experiment — Stop it. We exist to DESTROY and KILL the enemy and there is nothing “F’n” Gucci about that and it isn’t supposed to be Gucci.

I pray to God that this country wakes up and our next president gets that and un-F’s everything obunghole has broken.

Political Correctness was the invention of Vladimir Lenin in 1917. Lenin called it Cultural Marxism and it was renamed in the 60s, because Marxism was not a term Westerners, and especially Americans, would swallow.
It’s purpose was to gradually make concepts unacceptable to Westerners acceptable; it also leads people to accept a police state rule and total governmental control of their lives, thoughts, speech and actions, i.e., totalitarianism.

When someone issues politically incorrect speech, it should be protected speech. we may not like it and it may show extreme bad taste and be offensive, but it should be under the protection of the first amendment.

I was in back during Tailhook...as busy as we were, it was flabbergasting how much time we had to take for sexual harassment training....every time a new change to the rules came down, another day or days lost...and they were constantly updating official policy.

No one in the command structure would tolerate even the hint of misbehavior, as the slightest blemish on one’s record, even an untrue allegation, could end one’s career.

The long and short of it...we were basically told not to talk to females unless absolutely necessary in the course of work, and if you were accused of harassment, you were guilty until you proved yourself innocent.

That was over 20 years ago...can’t imagine what it’s like now.

Elections have consequences.

The United States military used to be an organization that destroyed things and killed bad people in order to defend the American citizenry. Now it is little more than a social laboratory experiment. A politically correct force for good and social and environmental justice. It started back under Clinton and has been accelerated by the current Regime.

At a low-level Navy command. It is not only the top brass and top civilians pushing this crap. It has reached the local command level.
