The White House says it wants to work with Syrias moderate rebels. But warplanes from the U.S.-led coalition came awfully close to striking one of their HQs.
Last week, an airstrike from the American-led coalition nearly hit a command-and-control facility affiliated with the Free Syrian Army, the moderate rebels the Obama administration says are Americas boots on the ground, according to two opposition leaders. They are asking the Obama administration to please coordinate with them in the future before America bombs its only allies in Syria.
Since U.S. airstrikes against ISIS in Syria began on Sept. 22, there has been no coordination between the U.S. military and its alleged partners on the ground, according to FSA leaders, civilian opposition leaders, and intelligence sources who have been briefed on the U.S. and allied military operation. Its this lack of communication that led to an airstrike that hit only 200 meters from an FSA facility in the suburbs of Idlib. One source briefed on the incident said multiple FSA fighters were killed in the attack.
Unfortunately, there is zero coordination with the Free Syrian Army. Because there is no coordination, we are seeing civilian casualties. Because there is no coordination, they are hitting empty buildings for ISIS, Hussam Al Marie, the spokesman for the FSA in northern Syria, told The Daily Beast. We have been getting promises that the coordination will be coming, but we have been getting promises since the beginning of this revolution and nothing has happened yet.
The incident, which was not been previously reported, doesnt just highlight the gap between the U.S. and its newly-endorsed allies in the moderate opposition, however. It also shows how complicated it can be to make alliances in the multi-factioned Syrian civil war.

I guess Force Obama just missed their target!
Iraq and Syria will both fall to ISIS. That’s the plan.
RE: I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.
So, the good Iraqi’s get destroyed together with the bad?
The number of ways this operation goes well versus the number of ways it goes badly is about 1 in 10, and with this POTUS, about 1 in 20.
How do you tell the difference?
RE: How do you tell the difference?
To ask the question is to ask ourselves the other question — since we can’t tell the difference, do we still drop it?
Russia is the wild card. When our proxies ISIS and the FSA get close to Damascus (with our help), what will Putin do?
Of course, there are no moderate rebels. All rebel groups that are supportd by the Sultan in Washington will contribute to ISIS’s cause. All weapons to any Moslem groups, outside of the Kurds for the time being, will go to the Caliphate project and to Islamization of all men.
The air strikes on empty silos just give O deniability. I don't know if they are organizing WW3 or just ratcheting up the pressure on Israel, as she wakes up to find the Caliphate on her doorstep. By design thanks to the Turks, the Sauds, and O's State Department.
A great question: Where are the air strikes around Baghdad?

ISIS Fighter Calls US Air Strikes Totally Ineffective

In an exclusive interview with CNN, a Syrian fighter with the group known as the Islamic State or ISIS said they were prepared for US airstrikes within Syria and the damage done against the organization was ineffective.
A Syrian ISIS fighter operating under the pseudonym Abu Tahla told CNN through Skype that the US and coalition airstrikes within Syria were expected.
“We’ve been ready for this for some time,” Abu Talha said. “We know that our bases are known because they’re tracking us with radars and satellites, so we had backup locations.”
The ISIS headquarters that were targeted were emptied out, and ISIS fighters moved their supplies into civilian neighborhoods or buried them underground before the airstrikes came, the fighter said.
Abu Tahla taunted the interviewers about recent US strikes against ISIS oil refineries, noting that ISIS had other avenues of income besides oil sales. Abu Tahla also said that even if the US managed to push ISIS back in Iraq, it managed to advance in Syria.
Concerningly, Abu Tahla’s remarks are echoed by the situation on the ground. Despite airstrikes, ISIS has advanced almost completely to the Turkish border in northern Syria. Only the Kurdish city of Kobane remains defiant to ISIS aggression, although the Kurds defending the city are thoroughly outgunned by the recent jihadist advance.
