I think the whole idea of getting a barber shop a “proper” government permit in order to be allowed to cut someone’s hair for money is absolutely ridiculous. It used to be that an inspector from some local government bureaucracy would walk in and inspect a place of business to check on permits and such. Now, they send in a small army, tell customers to leave, shut the place down indefinitely, handcuff the employees, and search the place. Upon finding out that the business does have the proper licensing, and that there is no evidence of criminal activity, they let the employees go free, and the place can reopen.
That’s exactly what happened at several barbershops in Orlando, Florida a few years ago, and the barbers at Strictly Skillz sued the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) for excessive force. Apparently, the state’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation teamed up with the OCSD in cracking down on unlicensed hair-cutters. I can’t think of anything more important than that. Something’s got to be done about all those criminals cutting hair without government permission!

[ I have never completely uderstood why liberals and conservatives could not get together on these and similar issues. Now that the “law and order” element of the Republican party have apparently farted into their last sofa cushion, it would be worth trying. ]

I feel safer knowing that unregulated barbers with sharp scissors and straight blade razors will not be allowed to terrorize male grooming any more. Look out all you so called amateur barbers, the government is here in full battle armor to insure tax collections and permit fees are paid in full. Now we can all sleep better at night knowing the barber-arians have been stopped and only government licensed and permitted hair stylists will be allowed to cut your hair. Unless of course it is an undocumented barber, then give him free government stuff and voter registration.
Time for so-called conservatives to get off their lazy, fat asses and elect a pro-2nd amendment, constitutional sheriff.

NO! It wasn’t necessary. And the absolutely idiotic part of this, is that it provides very justified grounds for people to determine the police are the absolute enemies of the average law abiding citizen. The police chief, the supervising officers, and anyone who participated in this raid, should be fired and charges brought against them.
Any mayor and city council member that would sign off on this should be prosecuted as well.
Do any of these idiots have clue one? It’s hard to father a more dumb collection of public servants, scratch that, self appointed lords and god like individuals

At least it wasn’t a kid’s lemonade stand.
Imagine if they put that kind of effort into looking for thousands of illegal immigrants.
