Penn State Young America’s Foundation Chapter were told to take down their table from a designated “free speech zone” on campus.
They were handing out Constitutions – on Constitution Day.

Bet if they were handing out the Koran or Mein Kompf they would have been welcome.
Apparently the “free speech zone” — isn’t.
While left leaning Academia is alive and well and very well represented at PSU, this is a bit misleading.
They can hand out copies of the Constitution all day long - any day. They just can’t have a table. The reason for this is that there would be tables everywhere for every cause imaginable.
Sorry, I hate the PSU administration/b.o.t., but this is a non-story.

Well, you have a point. Tables are pretty menacing. What they should have done is set up an Occupy Wall Street sort of encampment.

Which brings up a great idea - give out copies of the Constitution with Mein Kampf as the cover - I wonder how many college morons would read it thinking Hitler wrote the US Constitution...

Well, if you want the students to look at a LGBTQwhatever table every day of every week of every semester, then by all means - demand a table.
They knew the policy and wanted attention (good for them, and I support them). But the rules are no tables - for good reason.
Those kids need to file a multi gazillion dollar civil rights suit against the school.
I’m so tired of this noise. It’s time to put our universities on notice that they are going to change or go under.

It’s a mammoth University and there have always been a number of “preachers” that stand and “preach” for hours at a time. They call out girls for dressing provocatively. They warn of alcohol as the devil. Etc. etc.
The “free speech zones” move these guys away from residence halls and limit them to other areas - around busy classrooms.
That’s all. Not as nefarious as it sounds.
Again, I DESPISE the PSU administration and b.o.t., but this just isn’t as evil as it has been portrayed.
