Hagan lead steady at 4 points
Public Policy Polling ^ | September 16, 2014

PPP's newest North Carolina Senate poll finds the race steady compared to a month ago. Kay Hagan continues to lead by 4 points, with 44% to 40% for Thom Tillis and 5% for Libertarian Sean Haugh. Haugh's impact on the race is waning- since June his support has dropped from 11% now down to this 5% standing. He's also no longer disproportionately drawing supporters away from Tillis- when Haugh's supporters are reallocated to who they would choose between Hagan and Tillis, Hagan continues to hold a 4 point lead at 46/42.

We are seeing a lot of fake polls here in KS, too. The desperation of the RATS is really stinking up the place.

You mean if they ran the conservative gynecologist with little political experience?

Hagen 60 Gynecologist 30 MickyMouse 10

Doubtful. Too much "political experience" is increasingly becoming a liability. Frankly, the reason Thom Tillis isn't running away with this is because he's Thom Tillis - establishment schlub, go-along-to-get-along, open borders supporting, Rove-bot.

You are saying Thom Tillis is for open borders? Why would you make such a statement? You must be a Kay Hagen supporter. Either that or you supported the gynecologist. Same thing.

This is Tillis's position. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/may/7/nc-gop-senate-candidate-says-no-amnesty-immigratio/

Tillis’ position is whatever Rove, Boehner, and McConnell tell him it will be.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention - you need to keep your argument straight. i said Tillis is for “open borders.” The WashTimes article you cite is specifically about border security - which many GOPe claim to be for, even though most of them are not.

At the same time, NumbersUSA rated Tillis as being against limiting further worker importation, against mandating E-verify, and against dealing with sanctuary cities. In other words, Thom Tillis is still all for setting out the bait that brings the millions of illegals in in the first place. Likewise, Tillis is on the record as opposing any move by NC Senate GOPers to take a tougher stance on illegal immigration, he’s on the record as saying that NC shouldn’t pursue policies that would drive away illegal immigrants when there are industries in the state that “rely” upon them, and he has been characterised as leading one of the more pro-open borders GOP legislatures in the country (and this in a state where nearly all job growth since 2000 went to illegals). Tillis is pretty much a cut-and-paste Chamber of Commerce type who values access to cheap illegal labour more than he does genuinely protecting Americans and our country.

Do you live in North Carolina? If not, then stop flapping your yap about something you don’t know much about.

Go ahead. Vote to keep Kay Hagen as senator. Assuming you are able to vote in NC and aren’t a felon.

I am forced to agree Tillis must not be running a good race to be slightly trailing Hagan. (I don’t buy that he’s a “RINO”, I think he’d done a high job leading in the State House and would be be a fine Senator, talking about campaign performance only)

But I thank my lucky stars he was nominated over Greg Brannon, who would have been an almost certain loser.

Exactly. The Dims win this one.

I’m not in love with Tillis or any of the GOP Establishment candidates, but, it would mean that this country is truly going to hell in a hand basket if a State like NC reelects that hag.
