Although saying there is "no specific threat" of a terror attack, Gov. Cuomo announced on Friday that he is calling up hundreds of National Guard troops and other personnel to beef up security in New York.
Summoning reporters and legislative leaders to his midtown office, Cuomo said a comprehensive new security plan will be implemented to cover airports, transit hubs and large gathering points across the region.
He declined to give specifics of the plan until he formally unveils it with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie next week.

I’d bet that the recent beheading plot broken up by the Australians is connected with this, too. They had a list of several major cities where they planned to do this.
In case of a Jihadi attack, New Yorkers should hold up their “SAFE Card” which New York State guarantees their safety as unarmed citizens. If time allows before the citizen is shot, blown up, or beheaded the citizen should shelter in place, dial 911 or use their “rape” whistle to summon help.
Under no circumstances should the citizen engage the Jihadist as that might result in injuries the Jihadist unnecessarily and result in civil liability.
I'm convinced that when the powers-that-be want chaos, they will pull the plug on EBT.
