The U.S. Army is opening the door for women to go to Ranger school.

It's one of the first steps in the broader effort to allow women to begin moving into more grueling combat jobs.

I blame Hollywood for making a fictional kickass women characters. So many have watched a woman on tv take down 5 huge guys, not break a sweat, pick up a gun and keep fighting. Never mentioning a woman havinga menstrual cycle or possibly being pregnant when its time to go on a mission.

G.I. Jane was a myth concocted by the Hollyweird idiots. Demi Moore would not have made it through the first day in BUD/S (basic underwater/SEAL) training. The three phases of SEAL training last nearly year and graduate 20% or less of the people starting the class. There was one class that had a 100% attrition rate and graduated no one! SEAL operators are as good as they are because they are motivated along with the obvious need for fitness and physical strength. Any woman that wants to try — no waivers allowed — good luck.

That is the normal way of killing a chicken. That is not the Ranger Way which is a brutal, grotesque way of killing a chicken.

A buddy of mine who got his tab in 68 said that the cadre devised this method in Ranger School to wean out the squeamish students.

Only if that is allowed to happen, which I seriously doubt. I expect standards will be lowered again and again until many women can succeed. I imagine we will have female Rangers outdoing males and our wonderful media will not tell us they have different qualifications. I just hope and pray this can be undone by a future administration, but it is usually impossible to put the horse back in the barn.

Rangers train for an entire month on 1 MRE a day. My friends that earned their tab each lost at least 30 pounds. I weasel encouraged to go after Airborne school. I’m not a runner, can’t run six miles in thirty minutes.
