When Roger Goodell was growing up here, he had the best possible example of moral leadership. His father, a moderate New York Republican appointed by Gov. Nelson Rockefeller to Bobby Kennedys Senate seat after the assassination, risked his career to come out against the Vietnam War...
The two legacies from his dad, Bryan Curtis wrote in Grantland last year, could well be a measure of his dads idealism, his contrarianism, his stubbornness. And I bet wed also find a kind of defense mechanism that develops when you see your dad destroyed on a public stage. An instinct that makes you think, I wont let that happen to me. ...

OH give me a break even Michael Douglas ex chime in I don’t think I haven’t hear Mo Do at Giants or Jet game get back to me if she go to Raider game LOL!
Yo, Mo! There’s far more danger to this nation and this culure by your hero in the White House than the NFL could ever do.
Why don’t you shut up already.
I got a question did Michael Douglas ever took Mo to Giants or Jet game HELLO I don’t think she know football at all
Or any NY Sport teams
I could imagine Michael taking her to few NFL or Baseball games when they are in NY
Maureen Dowd? Didn’t she used to write bitter man hating drivel that no one read?
I thought she was in an assisted living home.
Interesting how people who don’t even like football are all over this.
No, just off her meds, again...
Maureen Dowd knows about as much about football as those sideline reporters.
Do you think there is any physical abuse by Alpha Women against Beta women in the professional Women Sports .... just asking.... seems likely to me.
How is it the liberals get so excited about American domestic violence but have no problem with Sharia? When the ISIS flag is flying over the White House (as if it isn’t now), will wife stoning be okay? Or is it just punching they don’t like, but burying women alive for honor is okay? I’m so confused!!
Stop that teasing me!
Just a bit of conservative history here... Sen. Charles Goodell was the guy defeated in 1970 by James Buckley (brother of William F. Buckley, Jr) who ran on the Conservative Party ticket. Incredible victory for a real conservative to have won a senate seat in NY.
Here is a question no one in media will publicly ask. The sport that displays the most continual violence over sixty minutes is not professional football. It’s professional ice hockey. Why have claims of violence against wives, girlfriends, children or others been seemingly absent in regards to hockey players at all levels of the sport from the NHL to the minor leagues to the Canadian amateur development leagues to Canadian and American colleges. I believe no one asks because they do not wish to hear the answer.
Hockey players are mostly white.
I remember that. :)
