Ray Rice And Sanctimonious Media Mob Rule
Black & Right ^ | 9/13/14 | Bob Parks

Had any man today used Tantaros’ words we’d be talking extended mea culpas followed by suspension or worse. But when a woman’s big mouth is activated, we’re all supposed to look the other way. Ask Janay Rice how that works, and kudos for Greg Gutfeld interjecting that inconvenient truth called “facts”.

I tried to read this and it is so confusing who said what , where and when that one cannot argue it, nor even get through it.

Something about black men as victims

Men do not hit women.

Males do.

Thugs do.

The NFL enjoys an enormous income and capital due to it’s public nature. The responsibility for that is great. One of the responsibilities for getting income based on celebrity is acting according to acceptable mores. THe NFL does not get to dictate mores, as they stand to benefit from decreasing the expectations of behavior.

They, by weaseling on this, along with anyone else weaseling on this, is not being gentlemanly. and that’s it.

This woman, his wife, who married Rice after he hit her and was filmed dragging her out of the private space they were in. She is an idiot for marrying him, and she may have behavior problems herself. But she is not the subject and should be left out of all of this.

If this guy was so mad at her, all he needed to do was break up with her. she is not a physical threat to him.

I am so sick of hearing about this case.

It is open and shut. He treated a girl like a punching bag, dragging her around.

he needs to go away.

If a boxer’s punches are registered as lethal weapons, shouldn’t a professional tacklers’ be, as well?

the woman is indeed an idiot....but Rice hauled out and slammed her like a boxer would do....not nice...

the thing that bothers me most is the NFL is so prissy sanctimonious about so many things, and yet it takes a widely available video to make them act...

.they know full well that many players use steroids, hgh, etc, and are druggies, drunks, and visit strip clubs all the time...many are gamblers...many have multitude children out of wedlock who they do not support....some of them probably have multitude rounds of STD's....

and yet, Rush couldn't buy into the boys club because he was so politically incorrect....

the bottom line is this...a lot of this behaviour is ghetto trash...you know it...I know it....and if the NFL steps too hard on the ghetto trash, you know that it'll be called racist, etc...

Well beating a four year old kid til he has bleeding lacerations is not a “spanking” its not a “whoopin” its a beating.

You can emote all you want, there are a couple of irrefutable facts:

This type of discipline was far more common 50 years ago.

There were far more civilized children growing up 50 years ago.

Today the term ‘feral human’ is understood by most, because we have so many.

Yep.

Well, there are a lot of conservative black in this country who, when they are exalted by the powers that be, will become great leaders.

If, anyway.

And in every case of kow towing to lower forms of lifestyles, no one benefits.

The NFL is not winning on this issue.

The image of that thug hitting that silly woman is not going over well.

I could imagine it on seeing him dragging her out of the elevator.

Why so many people couldn’t imagine that until they saw it is way beyond me, but I am an attentive wife and mother who has to rely on stories of the school day and the office to picture the scene and offer advice on how to handle situations, and whom to avoid.

Still, I mean, duh! Of course he wacked her.

But the video is ugly. They showed it ad nauseum. I think when I saw it once, I looked away and didn’t look at it again. They played it over and over on the Fox shows. So salacious. Finally as a news item they announced they would stop showing it.

Well, yes, people become desensitized.

Anyway, men in any culture, as gentlemen and children of God with any kind of instinct to be men and procreate and protect life, do not hit women.

If the NFL cannot let go of that bag of gold, they’re going down the ditch with it where it won’t do them any good.

I guess they have too much money or something.

Anyway it’s sick

I’m well acquainted with a spanking having received my fair share. There is a big difference between discipline and abuse. If you have see the pics of that kid and you still think what Peterson did was OK then I have no futher advice for you.

Eh...I got hit growing up.

It was stupid. Stupid.

I wouldn’t dream of hitting my kids, and geeze, they all have great families, function in society, helped around the house, did their homework and managed to succeed in all they did.

Hitting is weird and stupid.

The question is, were kids of 50 years ago more civilized because of spankings or because of more stable family structures and a less coarse culture? I don’t know the answer but tend to think it’s the latter.

The liberal media is responsible for these two criminals being out of football?

bee ess

Yes, there was an indictment of Ray Rice.

Yes, there was an indictment of Adrian Peterson.

They both committed criminal abuse against people they are supposed to love.

I hope they both go to jail.

You are wrong. People who loved their children never treated them that way.

Rush would have fit right in and could relate to the players, considering his nature. He is a former pill popping opiate head who’s ego is as large and divisive as his rhetoric. If his head wasn’t so buried in his own anus, he absolutely could have moved into the role of life coach and owner. In the end, rush is too big for the NFL and draws too much attention. His political nature would draw the wrong peoe into the conversation making it more about him and less about the game. That much negative attention would transform Rush into a hideous republican version of the Marshmellow man and he would savage any city he stepped foot in, devouring entire pharmacies in his wake. No pills, cigars, or liberals would be safe. I even hear CVS and Walfrgreens had a hand in his rejection.

First comment on that article is pure winning. The media loves social justice warriors and they will prop anyone up as a shield and selectively report and exploit to push their agenda. There are liberal groups out there like silver string media who’s sole purpose is progressive social engineering.

It was reported in the news that the Ray Rice assault on his then girlfriend was handled through the courts and they were involved in court-approved counseling, as the condition for no charges. If that's the case, Ray Rice should be playing football, assuming he meets the conditions placed on him.

If they're trying to work things out, and they're involved in counseling, this publicity is unfair. Anything extra from the league should be from pre-established conditions in the contract or league rules...spelled out.

I'm more concerned about media big mouths who are only out to destroy football setting policy. It's awful he hit his then girlfriend, for sure. The NFL looks hypocritical, for sure. What's happening with the media setting policies, first in the NBA with Sterling and now this, is bothersome, for sure.

It is from pre-established rules. The Personal Conduct Policy basically outlawed getting bad press, he’s getting bad press, he’s suspended.

So much for your ability to comprehend.

I can understand why they'd have that. There's an unintended consequence that the media to some degree can determine the fate of the player through their rantings.

This Rice case bothers me because he wasn't charged and convicted. Instead, he was given a counseling program, and if he completed that and there are no more incidents, that should be it. It's not the same as players who are charged and convicted.

Most of the folks who have been suspended under the personal conduct policy weren’t charged or convicted. Which doesn’t necessarily mean they didn’t do anything wrong, and doesn’t mean it’s not in the league’s best interest to try to quash that behavior. Things were very bad for the league before the PCS went in, pretty much every morning there was another story of somebody getting busted, usually for drunk driving. Tons of bad publicity. They’ve calmed that down a lot. Unfortunately all that time with designated drivers seems to have spawned other bad behavior, now there’s a whole spate of violence.

There’s nothing wrong with an employer deciding they don’t want employees who get arrested, even if they don’t get charged or convicted. Employment is a voluntary relationship.
