ROCHESTER, Mich. (WJBK) - Lieutenant colonel Sherwood Baker was just a father trying to help his daughter find her way at her new high school.
Sherwood who has served in the Army for 24 years was told by Rochester Adams high school security that if he wanted to get into the high school with his daughter he was going to have to go home and change his clothes.
Baker's wife Rachel Ferhadson says, "before he was allowed in, the security guard stopped him and said sorry you're not allowed in the school. Security told him men and women in uniform weren't allowed because it may offend another student."

Then the guard should be fired immediately.
I have seen lots of Soldiers and Airmen wearing their BDUs in public. I dont think USAF and US Army are even issued class A uniforms anymore....We (1969 to 1974) were not allowed to fly, use a bus or attend meetings off-base in fatigues but 1505’s were allowed. I lost my dress blues shortly after basic and hoped I would never need them. Bigger than shiite, I was being given an award and was ordered to show up in dress uniform. Quite a chunk out of my paycheck for a bronze star I think every man who went to VN was awarded.
Not my alma mater! I was a crosstown Falcon.
If you still think there is hope for this country you have my sympathy. What we see and have now was was long in the making. It took years or generations to form a mindset and it takes just as long if not longer to undo the damage. We always have and will continue to reap what we have sown and there is no escape.
“I am a little confused. When I was in the Army, we were instructed not to wear our BDUs (in the pic the LTC has on his BDUs (battle dress uniform) in the civilian population because this is not a police state, it frightens the civilians. Change your clothes and wear civilian clothes if you are going to WalMart, the grocery store etc.
This LTC is apparently National Guard, so he should know the rules. If he has on the regular uniform (dark green slacks, shiny black shoes, pale green dress shirt) he can go anywhere.
So, whether the security guard was prejudiced or whether the security guard knew the LTC is not to be parading around in BDUs in the civilian population (which, I frankly doubt was the security guards motivation), surely the LTC That said, maybe the rules have changed and I do see people in”
Been to an airport lately?
How quickly the Marxist Kenyan turned this country into a third world sewer full of lazy, America-hating freeloaders. Thanks Barry!!!
Was the security guard fired?
If not, then I don’t believe the superintendent.
I Know a Major in the USAF Nat Guard who cant find his dress blues. His daily dress is a flight suit because he flies KC135s.
the 60’s the decade that brought us marijuana and LSD
what a deal.....
the perfect tools to make the absorption of the communist lie palatable.
in their altered state.....that brave new world looked great to the john kerrys of the world...
I live in a rural town, they don’t have officers here either. We knew that several of their elementary and middle school teachers kept something that could be used as a weapon in their classrooms for a final deterrent if someone comes through the door during lockdown. No one officially admitted that was why there was a baseball bat in the corner behind the filing cabinet, but come on, we aren’t stupid either and I felt better if it was there anyway.
My kids are in HS now, which is right across the highway from my business. They carry their cell phones during the day, I told them to call me if anything ever happens and tell me which side of the school to be at for them. I might have to replace a couple of pieces of fence from my truck, but I can be there cross country in about 30 seconds to get them if I ever got an all-out emergency call.
If a father had shown up escorting his daughter in a taffeta ballgown, you just know the security guard wouldn't have said boo.
I see NG types here in Nashville wear BDU’s often.
Go in anyway and force them to arrest you. Then sue their arses off.
He also has a Formal Mess Uniform he wore to his wedding. But he needs to get it refitted because “It Shrunk in storage” But really because he got fat drinking German beer he brought back when he was deployed over to Europe.
Usual liberal lies.
* It is (was) policy. Don’t doubt that for a second
* The school bureaucrats were so arrogant they thought they would not be called on their anti American hatred. Stunned when they discovered they were wrong.
* SOP liberal swill. Do anything they want and then issue a an ersatz apology if caught - wink wink. See it every single day.
* There is so such thing as a liberal that is sorry for his deliberate actions. Only liberals that are sorry they got caught and confronted.
Probably the school board.
If that is the case we should e-mail the super with thanks and approval. We're sometimes quick to complain but slow to praise when warranted.
Yes, I am fully aware that service members can travel in uniform. I always try to smile and thank them for their service.
just wonder where the school guard is from originally
