Rev. Franklin Graham, head of the international Christian aid group Samaritans Purse and son of world-renowned preacher Billy Graham, said that given all the bad news about the killing of Christians by Muslims in some countries, and attacks on Christians by the media and the government even in America, he cannot help but wonder if we are in the last hours before our Lord Jesus Christ returns.

Interesting...my wife and I have always found the drive up and down I-81 away from urban centers as one of the most peaceful areas between soviet Red Hampshire and Tennessee...
I don't think Jesus will look too favorably upon a nation that provides government-funded abortions to any woman for virtually any reason.
Billy may live to experience the Rapture yet.
If you want to talk about truly catastrophic times, I'll offer something like The Black Death, which wiped out 1-2 million people across the planet, over some crazy idiots currently in the Middle East.
Sorry. The amillinneal and post-millinneal views are completely out of touch with Scripture. There are just too many Confessions between the pages of Scripture, and the hearers of the Word of God. The church is not going to overwhelm evil—that’s Christ the Lord’s mission.
correct, that is why the tribulation period (last 7 years) concerns Israel and not the Church.

The Black Death in Numbers
From 1347 to 1350 the Black Death struck Europe:
· In less than two years 30% to 60% of the population of Europe was wiped out.
· Nearly 75 million died in western Europe alone.
· 18000 people died in London in the course of three years.
· Almost 1/3 of the worlds population had died from the plague by 1350.
· Estimates go from 100 to 200 million deaths worldwide.
· The mortality rate of the bubonic plague was 30% to 75% percent.
· Within 1-7 days the first symptoms occurred, including fever, nausea, headache and an infection the lymph nodes.
I saw Drew Carey live, he started the show with, “Every time I watch the news I have out the Book of Revelations...and start checking things off.”
II Timothy 1:7 - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
..having just taught through Daniel one thing is certain in my mind, Israel is God’s timepiece and warning sign to the world. Never have I seen so many things that point to Christ coming for His church , followed by that 70th “seven”’ followed by the Second Coming...
Only God knows when the last hour is. But it doesn’t hurt to be ready.
If I were to compare news headlines, I would judge that things were a lot worse in 1863, 1932 and early 1942 than they are today.
In my lifetime, things were worse when Jimmy Carter’s rescue attempt of the hostages in Iran failed. Lines to get gas, horrible inflation and high unemployment and the start of modern Islamic radicalism.
Yet we are still here.
I agree the world has experienced worse horrors throughout history than what we are seeing now. However, I don’t think we have ever seen the level of perversion we have today, and the total acceptance of it.
“As I read the news, I cant help but wonder if we are in the last hours before our Lord Jesus Christ returns to rescue His church and God pours out His wrath on the world for the rejection of His Son, said Rev. Graham “
Sadly he does not realize that the fallacious pre-trib theory embraced by most modern Christians is misleading and incorrect.
The pre-trib idea is relatively new to the Church era.

For those interested in discussion with pagans the original site is going ballistic. Jesus is being attacked.
I agree that 1863 WAS a similar time; the moral quality of the nation had ebbed to tremendous low.
The economy always has ups and downs. I am not talking mere economics here. I am talking morality.
I think the moral compass is completely off the original setting. Not quite 180, but maybe 170 or 160.
Consider this nation (by which I mean the government or a significant percentage of the population—certainly not every individual) now applauds dependency upon government, punishes achievement, enables infanticide, and celebrates perversion. In some quarters, this behavior and the dark spirituality that enables it is endorsed by so-called Christians and Christian churches.
1863 indeed.
On the other hand, the Black Death is not a moral issue. Islam is.
