Pupils at a Welsh primary school were today left stunned when, of all people, Barack Obama and David Cameron walked into their classroom. Mr Obama greeted the smiling youngsters of Mount Pleasant Primary School in Welsh by saying ‘bore da’ - ‘good morning’. He then listened to a welcome message, thanking him for being the first serving US president to visit Wales.
The road along Ruskin Avenue was faced by the sight of scores of police officers and the presidential convoy pulling up at the school gates. The president and Prime Minister were in Rogerstone, near Newport, ahead of the Nato summit at nearby Celtic Manor.

I know I’ll get flamed to high heaven for this, but if I was a kid and the PM and President walked into my classroom I’d think it was the coolest thing ever. I’m no Obama fan, but as a kid it would’ve been amazing to meet any president.
He’s already had it surgically shortened.

Jeez, Cameron always looks like a tweeny girl backstage at a boy band concert when he’s within Obama’s aura.
I’d be amazed to see him arrested and frog-marched into a court room.

I imagined a middle school yard where one bug bully (Putin) is roughing kids up and taking their lunch or cell phones and a gang of misfits (ISIS) is just beating kids senseless and abusing girls at will.
In steps young Barack who convinces all the kids to give him some money and other things so he can bribe the bullies. Then, he goes to the bullies and gives them stuff, while keeping some for himself and his friends of course.
The bullies tell him to go get more which he does by promising it will get better tomorrow. After school the boys get beaten up and robbed and girls are stripped naked and abused in front of everyone.
Barack stays in the building offering to help teachers with some of their duties. He gets a special student award and his failing grades are adjusted so he can graduate and go to high school.
The body language in that photo is telling. All the other leaders are leaning forward, elbows on the table. Obola is recoiled and withdrawing into himself...
No flame here. That’s why I took my boys to the inauguration in 2009. We were in town and history was happening.
