They used to play that on one of the Philly Morning Zoo shows back in the 80’s. One of the highlights of the morning commute.

Seems they would have sent swat team and armored vehicle to deal with a loose chicken.

Chicken was behaving aggressively and disobeyed a direct order to get on the ground now. Officer feared for his life.
To: TurboZamboni
Boy, I say, boy, this aggression must stop!

Did the chief choke the chicken? I’ve heard tell in the old days they would wring its neck.

“If a chicken were to get out, I would contact my neighbor, or failing to do that, attempt to get the chicken back in his yard.”
There are still some honest men.
Chicken’s roam the streets freely in my neck of the woods. My neighbour’s chicken strolled into my lawn the other day and, well, you know, who’s going to miss a chicken? I mean, it could have got run down by a truck or anything.
It was yummy.

The idiot cop sure “headed off” this potential problem, eh?

I was on the Greaseman’s show once in the studio at Silver Spring. A great guy!
DC101 was great back then. I loved the Good Ship Grease, The Lawman, Clinton and the Squealer, Ragnak (Grease’s alien child), the thirty second workout, and tales about his Daddy!

According to police reports, a neighbor repeatedly complained about a chicken on the loose and said a hen wandered into a residential area near an elementary school. The school and the entire district went on lock down to ensure student safety. The following day they brought in counselors for the children.
