Good grief, FR has always linked to opposing sites. Where did Sunstein think we got our topics to discuss? Practically every news story that is posted is from the liberal media.

>>...they have our number...<<

You bet’cha. May sound conspiratorial, but agents are with us now. In fact, they will stir the pot on sensitive issues and watch folks start spouting off their mouths.

Whool whool, I gotta AK and I'm gonna. That suns a b is gonna pay. That sort of nonsense.

Ping...there's one. Ping...there's two.

Don't think for a moment we are in our lil FR community without uncle suggah monitoring what's being said.

"...and other social pollution"

I like the retro Maoist touch in their choice of vocabulary. Things are getting very dangerous.

Meanwhile,

NSA built “Google-like” interface to scan 850+ billion metadata records: According to newly published documents, the National Security Agency has built a “Google-like” search interface for its vast database of metadata, and the agency shares it with dozens of other American intelligence agencies.

What's all this NSA data collection about?
It's about using the collected metadata to build social networks.

The NSA has been creating maps of American citizens' social networks

Why do they want to do that?
What could social networks be used for in the hands of government? Consider:

Using Metadata to Find Paul Revere

How will such capabilities be used now?
How They Hunt

Is it already too late?...

If you don’t want it repeated, don’t say it. If you don’t want it read, don’t write it down. If you don’t want it seen, don’t take the picture.

RE: "FR has always linked to opposing sites."

Yes that's a very good point. We were already at the other site and now we give our opinions.

I think most will agree though that that is not what Sunstein has in mind.. his plan is to slowly phaseout conservative opinion.

I recall an interview with him when "Republic.com" was published.

BTW IIRC "Republic.com" got good reviews by the NY Times and was a top seller around some university towns. Palo Alto, CA (Stanford) was one IIRC.

Years later Sunstein is the one who thought of (at least promoted) paternal libertarianism. He and his comrades being the parent

This has been my concern for some time. Is there anyway that FR can ensure protection from our government?

BTW! See my tagline and remember what the source. It’s time again.

RE: See my tagline and remember what the source

I think it’s the same person who said: GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH.

Actually, the original line says: “Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party.”

But I’m not sure which party to aid today...

The stupidity of this type of activity is too assume that this will only effect those that do not think/believe as you do. Therefore you can be punishing those that believe differently.

The problem is that what you believe is not necessarily universal all-time truth. It will change and others will be in charge later and reverse punishment but now with a vengeance.

That is why this country has always been great (until Obama) because we tolerated all points of view ensuring that nobody got punished for their beliefs. Now the socialist are trying to have it all their way. They know their ideas are wrong and will not stand up to scrutiny so they must punish non-compliance (see global warming/climate change).

They, the Socialist, may win the first few rounds and be in power for the next 100 years but they things will begin to erode and we will change back.

God help us.

Should be pretty easy to simply flood it. Put a variety of "@mentions, #hash_tags, and urls" in each one.

We used to have a list of words for Project Echelon.

Everything your political rivals say negatively about you is generally regarded as a political smear on against those in power.

What they propose doing is to uses the State to give those in power an enormous informational advantage over those not in power.

The Queer-In-Charge, who has been playing President for the last six years, should resign, or be removed, with the evidence of his inability to lead, inability to maintain his publicized oath of office, and his demonstrated insanity.

Ahhhh I remember the heady days here on FR when we had an entire cadre of faux freepers who were plants (at least that was the general trend on them). We probably still have our lurking snitches and maybe we still keep an entire shift from No Such Agency gainfully employed. It's just something we have to learn to expect. For nearly all of us who've been here any length of time at all, we have to resign ourselves to probably getting caught in the first wave or so of the pogrom sweeps. It is what it is. See you in the camps!

EFAD!
