Neither the 1944 version of “Kismet” or “Are These Our Parents?” are available from Netflix. After watching the “Kismet” trailer I don’t think I would order it if it was – HJS.

The only thing good about “Kismet” is the musical score which was STOLEN from Russian Composer Alexander Borodin.

The Original music (mostly from Prince Igor and a string quartet) is better than the use of it in “Kismet”.

Marlene Deitrich’s garb is particularly embarrassing! LOL!

Actually, the Colman/Dietrich version is not the musical. It’s the film that served as the source for the Broadway musical and later movie.

This film showed recently on TCM. It is good, and fun to watch. The review was accurate.
