A consumer group is predicting a rush for powerful vacuum cleaners as an EU ban on many best-performing products looms.
Which? said that from September 1, companies will be unable to manufacture or import any vacuums with motors above 1,600 watts under rules designed to boost energy efficiency and tackle climate change.

Its the same way with flush toilets. sure, you save money and water on every flush. Unless you have to flush it twice. Or three times. As you often have to.

Unless you change your eating habits (are vegetarians less... productive?) and of course, use only one square of t.p., as Sheryl Crow, I believe, once advised. And don’t buy name brand t.p.; generic clogs less!
Oh, what the heck. Let’s just turn back the clock to the Dark Ages. That will save energy. We can be happy as pigs in a ... pig pen.
Just an observation, but while many around the country have been distracted by ‘race riots’, Ukrainian ‘independence fighters’ and ‘genocide’ in Iraq....

That's the only response that matters.
Before we look down on the EU, let’s remember we live in a country where you have to flush the toilet 3 (or more) times to get anything to go down.
Why not outlaw rugs? It would make more sense than outlawing the most efficient ways to keep them clean and germ free. (I’m being facetious)
Yeah, high capacity bags for Europe which already sucks more than sufficiently.
Not in my house you don’t. But then my removal technology is 40 years old.
They’ll have to take my Dyson from the cold dead hands!
