Here’s another follow-up to my article about Jim Hoft’s dishonest tactics in promoting his bogus claim that officer Darren Wilson suffered a fractured eye socket in a purported struggle with teenager Michael Brown.
As I pointed out in the earlier piece, Hoft posted a stock image of a CT scan of a fractured eye socket, but apparently erased the words “UNIV OF IOWA” from his copy of the image.
Well, thanks to LGF readers @franklinftw and @loveheylola, I can now remove the word “apparently” from that description, because we have proof that Hoft (or someone who works with him) did indeed alter that CT scan, almost certainly to mislead people into believing it was an image of officer Darren Wilson. (And he was successful in fooling many right wingers, including Ann Coulter.)
A cached version of Hoft’s page at the Internet Archive Wayback Machine captured at 18:08:39 (UTC) on August 19th shows that when Hoft first posted the image, it did contain the words “UNIV OF IOWA.” Here’s a screenshot of the Internet Archive’s cached version:

I assumed it was a stock photo when I first saw it - how would he actually have the real medical imagery? But that said, it is a little shady, and confuses the issue. Doesn’t matter if a bone was broken or not if he got hit in the face.
Well, is the Ferguson Police officer’s eye socket broken or is it not?

I only saw the one with the U Iowa removed.
It did seem as if it were a scan from the officer. But there was a label that said it was a stock image.
No definitive report on it. We only have a CNN story saying it is not broken. It matters not to the need of the police to defend themselves from a fist to the head.
Posting a real image would be a HIPPA violation and big trouble for someone, unless the officer gave permission for its use.
I used to be a member on LGF a few years ago, but suddenly it veered of in a strange direction.
If it was the article I read I didn’t get the impression
it was the scan of the officer’s eye. It was presented as an example of what such an injury could look like. Seemed clear enough to me- was anyone confused?

And didn’t LGF so all anti-Jew, too? I used to go there many years ago but it got boring so I stopped visiting the site. Then I heard all sorts of stories about how insane it got and I was glad that I had lost my old login info. I don’t even remember what handle I used to use.
