Darren Wilson, the Ferguson, Mo., police officer whose fatal shooting of Michael Brown touched off more than a week of demonstrations, suffered severe facial injuries, including an orbital (eye socket) fracture, and was nearly beaten unconscious by Brown moments before firing his gun, a source close to the department's top brass told FoxNews.com.
“The Assistant (Police) Chief took him to the hospital, his face all swollen on one side,” said the insider. “He was beaten very severely.”
According to the well-placed source, Wilson was coming off another case in the neighborhood on Aug. 9 when he ordered Michael Brown and his friend Dorain Johnson to stop walking in the middle of the road because they were obstructing traffic. However, the confrontation quickly escalated into physical violence, the source said..

This story is working its way up the media food chain. Starts on the blogs. Now it’s a Fox News source.
I would like to see a photo of the police officer at the hospital. That would easily be worth 1000 words.
Obviously being unarmed opens an all new element of entitlement.
Let’s hope he refused an ice pack until after photos were taken.

You know I’m getting a little tired of people saying they weren’t there so they don’t know what happened.
Yes they weren’t there, but so what?
1.We have a great deal of evidence that shows the cop was beaten severely (see article)
2. We have evidence that Brown tried to take the cops weapon (the bullet in the upholstery of the car)
3. there are apparently several credible witnesses who corroborate the account given by a friend of the cop.
4. and we have the autopsy which shows brown was facing the cop when he was shot and credible witness that say Brown ran at the cop.
5. In addition the cop has no record of misconduct while brown was a felonious criminal juist moments before he was shot.
Granted something in the investigation may show differently, but until then I’d say it looks like a legitimate self defense shooting.
A man who could attack a cop like that, after meeting him for less than what? Five minutes tops, shows how easy it is for him to administer lethal force in any setting. Somewhere in Ferguson, I’ll bet there are a few girls or young women who also got The Brown Treatment, meaning where he uses his fists or threats thereof to communicate. They would be hunted down, pilloried and ‘dealt with’ by their Hood Brothers if any such women dared to speak up.
The cop will be indicted by the grand jury. They know if they no-bill him, the riots will be 10 times worse.
I suppose we ought to consider the feelings of the lunatic fringe and come up with a logical explanation. Anyone that saw “Dirty Harry” with Clint Eastwood will remember the central villain, Skorpio. Well, when he wanted to frame the cop what did he do? He found this dude who owned some state-of-the-art whack-a-mole equipment and paid him to do a number about his head and shoulders, so that he was beat to a pulp.
Except that in this case it was the cop acting the role of Skorpio. Right after he shot the kid up he went and paid for his beat down. Yea, he framed the poor little Sunday school scholar to justify his brutally murdering him in cold blood.
There, Sal Alinsky would be proud!
But I’m going to go with the facts of the case as so far presented. I really don’t have an agenda to stir up a racial divide. I’ll leave that to Jesse and Al.

Officer Wilson certainly was railroaded.
One thing that did not come across initially was that, as the Chief said, the robbery involving Brown was a separate incident from the shooting, which was the reason why he was able to release the information to the press.
What did not come across well was the press had made specific Sunshine requests related to information about THE ROBBERY , and not the shooting.
Therefore, since the media requested the information on the robbery, the media had to be aware of the fact that Brown had been involved in a robbery immediately before the shooting and that there was a police report on file regarding the robbery.
Given the time line, the media would have had to have been aware of the existence of the robbery and the report the Sunday after the shooting.
So the whole time the media was spinning Brown as the Sainted Gentele Giant they knew he had been involved in a strong arm robbery and that there was much more to this case than they were letting on to.
They sure did rail road the officer.
This also tends to absolve the Police from the release of the video because under the law, they had no reason to withhold the information related to the robbery.
