I think the purpose of this WP article is to set the groups who tend to vote GOP against each other. Divide and conquer -- that's the Dems' only chance.

I just hope that Republicans will see through this effort and won't accommodate the Dems by fighting each other, while the Dems dance to victory.

I’m not seeing the divide between Evangelicals and the Tea Party.

I agree. You want to believe a Washington compost article is telling the truth? Think again, think no.

“Divide and conquer”

No doubt that is the purpose of the article.

For the millionth time: FISCAL CONSERVATISM IS SOCIAL CONSERVATISM.

Defunding unconstitutional spending essentially defunds the social activist left (one example: Planned Parenthood), who depend on Uncle Sugar to stay in business. In a privatized world, lefty social activism goes begging.

Exactly.

Where are the articles that have the headline:

BLACKS LOSING MILLIONS OF JOBS TO ILLEGALS

AFRICAN-AMERICAN UNEMPLOYMENT RATE SOARS AS IMMIGRANTS REPLACE THEM

???

"Evangelicals" would do well to heed the words of Psalm 146:3:

Put not your trust in ruler nor in any child of earth, for there is no hope in them..."

But when you have only a selective sola scriptura....

The Washington Compost is such a rag! Doing the Democratic Party’s spin and propoganda is shameful while the country is going down the tubes. Lefties don’t give two cents about the country. It’s all about the acquisition and holding on of political power!!!

We will probably never see an article about how Democrats are divided by moral and character concerns. They don’t have any.

Do you mean the social evangelicals who have been supporting Obama for 6 years...and some the democrat party for all their lives? THOSE evangelicals? Are you trying to tell us that they want in the republican tent, but want us to cater to them?

Oh I totally agree. This article was written to divide to try and get them to not get involved and have them sit out elections.

This is the Washington Post so they naturally see Evangelicals as uneducated people looking to be led by some demagogue. When there is no identifiable Christian candidate, the Post’s angle is that the Evangelicals are confused and don’t know what to do, as if they are too stupid to choose someone who isn’t wearing a cleric’s collar.

GOP how about paying attention to one issue:

BRING BACK JOBS TO AMERICA.

Stop all of this other stuff. What matters to America is our economy. Nobody is looking out for the American economy right now.

Nobody.

Democrats have all sent jobs to China. The GOP has all sent jobs to China.

Everyone is sending American jobs overseas, and have been doing now for nearly 5 administrations.

EVERYONE.

Someone needs to reverse this, and to bring back American jobs.

I really, really, really hope that party is the GOP.

Wake the heck up GOP. Americans need jobs.

Jobs.

If there is no voter ID, then why bother voting? I don’t want to vote against felons, non citizens, dead democrats, or democrats who get multiple votes. If the Republicans can’t even make that point and always cave to the race card, why support them?

I personally happen to understand and agree with this article. I find it spot on and illuminating to say the least from my perspective. In my esteemed opinion the evangelical wing or rather its core base of the Republican party has long tired of all the lies, deceit and viscous maligning of Christians by the mainstream Republican party. They, I believe like myself, are more than fed up with the GOPe and their cronies for just wanting to feed us manure and keep us in the dark like one does mushrooms.

I for one say if the elites can't see the social Christians of the expansive base as an equal partner then the heck with the Republican party. They cannot win any Presidential election without us so quit treating us like bastard step children. Others like myself I can easily vote for the third guy on the ticket and bypass the two top parties as I have done for several years now. So go ahead RINO's keep doing it your way but get used to being out of power for some time to come.
