End “Hegemonic Capitalism” to Solve Human-Caused Climate Change?

Recently, 130 environmentalist groups gathered in an UN-backed event in Venezuela to gather more civilian support to combat climate change, reports the Daily Caller. A number of them signed the Margarita Declaration which calls for an end to the “hegemonic capitalist system” as the only solution to human-caused climate change. The environmentalists argued that measures such as carbon capture and trade and conservation efforts are not sufficient to prevent the environmental disasters they are predicting; instead, they demanded a radical system change. Although they did not spell out what their ideal social system would be, we can assume they want the opposite of capitalism—some form of socialism. The environmentalists’ demands for money and technology from rich countries to poor countries suggest that also.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

We must take back our government, our country from Democrat control, and make ridding ourselves of the Leftist tool, the United Nations a priority. They are an effective Leftist tool. Without the U.N. the Left would founder until they could establish another. It would be up to us to insure they never succeed in such action on our soil again.

The U.N. must be eliminated to the point no spark left for them to fan back to a flame. Cut off their funding as soon as is possible.

Yes, because Socialism has been so good for the environment.../s It’s about controlling people through poverty, not controlling environmental impact.

The best solution for controlling environmental impact is to have energy producers that are so filthy rich they can afford to upgrade pollution controls and scrubbers. Capitalism is much better for the environment than greedy Socialism.

Long live oil, booming economies, and bring back cheap energy. Enough of this leftist drudgery.

If we had the same number of people on the Earth that we do today and we “ended Capitalism” and moved our technology back to where it was 150 to 200 years ago before evil coal and oil were used in energy production, we’d be in an even bigger environmental mess than we are now. Entire forests would be destroyed very quickly and then no one would have any fuel to cook or keep themselves warm. There would be horrible wars and mass famine. Probably a third of the world’s population would die.

The fallacy of environmentalism is that, at some point in history, may was energy efficient. That there was some natural state in which man lived in harmony with the environment. That state never existed. The reason man used to “live in harmony” with nature was because there were hardly and men around. When the entire world population was a couple hundred million people, they could use up forests and kill animals and there were still a number of forests and animals left. If the population of the world was a couple billion back in 1700 or 1500 or 400 AD, it would have been chaos. Capitalist provided the system to let populations expand in an efficient manner.

“gathered in an UN-backed event in Venezuela”

Right. And they picked the absolutely most perfect spot possible to show how well ending “hegemonic capitalism” works as compared to before it was ended. A true stroke of genius to demonstrate how well their proposals function.

And paid for to boot with YOUR U.S. tax dollars as almost all U.N. operations are paid for!

Think of how much time and resources could have been saved if only those in favor of global warming would have announced this as their primary intent at the beginning.

Well I’m sure the envirowackos would have no problem at all with the world losing a third or more of the population. Well, just as long as none of them are included. They are so much smarter than the rest of us dummies. Right?

Unless all the delegates to this conference came in gliders, they produced more “ greenhouse gases” getting there than poor little capitalist me produces in months.

Capitalist provided the system to let populations expand in an efficient manner.

The beauty of capitalism for an environmentalist or Friend of the Earth is that it rewards the most efficient use of resources.

The capitalist that gets the most bang for his buck from the resources he uses makes the more profit.

Ultimately forcing a producer say of coal fired electricity to sequester carbon dioxide will produce less electricity at a higher price and in the long run produce more waste.

Capitalist left to their own devices eventually will produce the most product while producing less waste, because it is in their own interest.
