McConnell and Cornyn won their primaries with 60%, then Graham won his by 56%, then Cochran by his by 50% (with democrats), and on Tuesday, Roberts won his with 48%.

Lamar wins, he has over 50% with 88% in. If he’s held just below 50 when all is said and done, I’ll curse those minor candidates.
Looks like a 1 on 1 CLOSED primary and Carr would have won.
In CD 1 Phil Roe easily beats minor challengers (What do you think of Roe now DJ, he beat David Davis from the left in 2008 but his record seems decent)
In CD 2 Duncan wins by about 20 points, I didn’t know his challenger was that serious.
CD 3 is too close to call, Chuck Fleischmann clinging to a narrow lead over RINO scion Weston Wamp who had a massive rat crossover effort
CD 4 State Sen Tracy clinging to a narrow lead over scumbag (but not RINO)incumbent DesJarlais, minor candidates are costing Tracy
Yeah like it worked in Mississippi....no thanks. What a complete mess that is. Hopefully we will keep that seat. I want the Senate this year! For goodness sake, we are going to probably lose it again in 2016 so I think we should grab it this year especially if they have to make a Supreme Court decision....I know we don’t get to decide but hopefully Obama will have to chose someone less crazy.
RINO wins Carr’s seat, and Campfield lost? That blows. The news article says it was by 2 to 1, ugh.

I guarantee a lot of Dems voted in the GOP primary, which would’ve been enough to put Lamar! over 50%. Regardless, it’s a subpar victory for him when you consider how much he outspent Carr, how much more resources and endorsements he had.
Re: TN-1, I don’t care if Roe votes like Jesse Helms, his initial victory rode the wave of Democrat crossover fraud over what was the best voting member from TN. He will never get my endorsement.
Re: TN-3, probably one of the examples of Dems voting in our primary. Wamp Junior has nothing but daddy’s name to his resume.
Re: TN-4. I’ve stuck with DesJarlais regardless and decided to forgive him. What he did over a dozen years ago was terrible, but he has sought to move on from that and distinguish himself in Congress. Despite virtually no support from the TN GOP, he has become the best-voting member from the state. Tracy is just another blow-dried establishment politician (and even as the votes were yet to be finished counting, arrogantly declared victory about 20 or so minutes ago).
Even if Tracy narrowly wins, it is a subpar performance for him and he expected a resounding landslide given that he, like Lamar!, well outspent Dr. D. and had vastly more resources (in his speech, he said his people went to 75,000 households in the district). That he’s virtually tied with DesJarlais at this moment is quite telling. It’s also possible Dems voting in this district went for Dr. D. on the assumption the Democrat might have a chance in November.
Joe Carr’s House seat was won (with a plurality) by the most left-leaning “R” candidate currently running for the State legislature. Three candidates (2 Conservatives) split over 60%+ of the vote.
We also lost the great State Sen. Stacey Campfield in Knoxville to a rich liberal RINO who doesn’t even live in that district (which is illegal, btw).
This is yet an endless example of what I said in post #37. These primaries must be closed and runoffs instituted.
All in all, I’d say that regardless of the closeness of the races, it was a fiasco in TN tonight.
It’s now in God’s hands....and we will TRUST Him...no matter what.

I don’t know what’s going to be done about RINO Richard Briggs or what Campfield will do. At present, Campfield has removed every blog post from his website and just has a video up of Frank Sinatra singing “My Way.”
Personally, I think Campfield should pursue it and have Briggs tossed off the ballot for being in violation of residency laws. He posted information on Briggs’ registered address, which showed little to no water/power usage (actually, zero in most cases). His real home is a lakeside condo in another county.
Campfield’s biggest enemy was a local lib paper who seemed to want him gone. They strangely have yet to write any articles but fluff praise pieces on their DEM city mayor though. No previous Knoxville mayor has enjoyed such good press. Their county mayor-R sure didn’t. Just like a previous state lawmaker that was hounded by the paper for trivial things like taking a dog in a courthouse.
He was similarly attacked in Nashville rags. The left will be ecstatic at getting the most outspoken Conservative in the legislature. Briggs is just another Haslam piglet (and for that matter, so is the leftist Mayor of Knoxville, Rogero).
What happens if he’s thrown off? GOP selects replacement? Rat is unopposed?

Generally, in the last instance of a candidate being disqualified (ironically, on ground of GOP voter crossover !), the runner-up was given the nomination. Mind you, Briggs would have until January to officially take up residence in that district (in the residence he gave), but he considered it a non-issue that he wasn’t living there (saying, “Who cares where I shower ?”).
Looks like Tracy may have to eat his words on declaring victory prematurely. I couldn’t believe the arrogance of seeing him do it on live tv. Very bad show.
It’s curious how the race for TN-4 would’ve gone had Joe Carr remained in it, would he and Tracy have split the anti-Dr D. vote or would Carr have cut into DesJarlais ? If Tracy indeed comes up short by a few votes, this will be one of the biggest establishment embarrassments in recent memory. He was so certain he was going to win (oddly, he also gave one of the most uncomfortable victory speeches as well). Dr. D. should serve one last term and then endorse Carr to take his seat in 2016.
The race was so close all night, declaring victory was idiotic.
I doubt that DesJaralis will leave voluntarily.
Hard to know for sure who Carr would have taken more votes from, I would assume he’d have taken more from the challengers but I might be wrong.

You mean Alabama. As I said, I don’t know if Campfield will pursue the allegations. But RINOs, like their Democrat twins, don’t think the rules apply to them. Briggs deserves to crash and burn.

There is a difference between "willing" and "able." Joe did as well as he could with the resources he had.
He is not a perfect candidate - those are very rare. I had my doubts about him from the first time I heard him - which, btw was in November. He was persuaded to abandon his plan to run for Congress to take on Lamar.
He did a fine job on the stump, never had a Todd Aiken grade blunder and stayed on his anti-amnesty message. He forced Lamar! to a bald faced lie - to defend his vote with the Dems as anti-amnesty.
My question is who would you have run against him? My hope was Marsha Blackburn, but she got on the Lamar train early.
A little positive news... The J City Press went after Matthew Hill (TN House 4) with guns a-blazing, but He won by ten points.
I think you may be right. The MSM is concentrating on Senate races because of the anticipation of the Pubbies picking up 6 seats to take over the Senate.
Another thing that is not really being reported that I read on FR yesterday is the Tea Party is winning in at least some state races. Apparently there was some movement in MI and a Tea Party candidate (if not outright TP, at least leaning that way) may win the US Rep seat for a district in eastern WA state, now held by Doc Hastings, who is retiring.
While we all would like to see more Senators in the mold of Sessions, Cruz and Lee, that might not come right away - if conservatives are taking over seats and positions in local and state offices, and perhaps in the House, that will be a big help at least as a start IMHO.
Did anyone else notice that the beginning and ending margin of victory (number of votes separating the two) remained almost the same all night?
