Immigrants have helped pay the nation’s bills, at least when it comes to health care, according to a new report. Immigrants contributed over $182 billion to Medicare’s Hospital Insurance Trust Fund between 1996 and 2011, according to a study released by the Partnership for a New American Economy, a group which advocates for immigration reform.
The study found during that same 15-year period, U.S.-born citizens produced a $68.7 billion deficit for the same fund.
The Partnership for a New American Economy, a coalition of mayors and business leaders started by Michael Bloomberg and Rupert Murdoch.

That is one nutso statistic...
Apples and oranges. We have an aging society. Far fewer immigrants are now using Medicare. The average user of Medicare gets three times more out of system than they contributed. Medicare has been running in the red since 2008.
But how much did they USE????????????...................

Say "immigrants" hoping that low-information voters think "illegal immigrants" and decide that illegals are great for the economy.
It like touting breakthroughts for useful and non-confrontational "stem cell" research in an attempt to confuse people about the controversial "fetal stem cell" research issue.
Are these “undocumented” immigrants? And if so, how do you know? Can you prove this claim?
I hate to be Captain Obvious but sure looks like another cooked up claim to extoll the benefits of our “immigrant” community.
The Partnership for a New American Economy, a coalition of mayors and business leaders started by Michael Bloomberg and Rupert Murdoch, also includes among its co-chairs former San Antonio Mayor and current Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro and Philadelphia mayor Michael Nutter.
Most of the above are rabid left wingers who promote ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. Most Americans support LEGAL IMMIGRATION so, NBC et. al. eff off.

Yeah, didn’t you hear about how the now deceased Aunt Zeituni paid and paid her way in the US, and wasn’t a burden on taxpayers, the medical system, or displaced any Americans from public housing?
This is baloney. Their children pay NOTHING. Free health care. Most of them have no insurance - just go to our ER’s and run up bills. Medicare is only paid from our social security. Come on this is baloney.
