LOL, best to get them out before they become LTC’s. LTC’s have a tendency of becoming leaders of Nations. Yes, real “Leaders”, they aren’t community organizers, they’re proven leaders, something the Libs and MSM fear the most. Currently there is a LTC running the largest country in the world, and mocking the worlds greatest community organizer. Come 2016 the Libs are preparing to run another one of their wussy candidates to show the world how mushy we have become. Its a shame, with the world in total turmoil, we are reducing defense spending and giving away needed funds to support non citizens who are trying to escape corruption in their own countries by running to ours.
We need our Majors, especially those with combat experience. (Why do we have this early 20th century thinking?) We should use the illegal immigration 6 Billion funds to build mini Brigade size bases along the border. Keep our riffed Majors and troops employed. They can share the bases with the state guard units. Of course, they can also continue their careers in the Guard and Reserve if they are lucky enough to find a slot.
That is fine with me, the warrior class will stand with us when the time comes.

The Obama “purge” is a myth.
What is going on is a reduction in the size and capability of our Armed Forces, but in particular, the Army. Obama doesn’t like armies, especially our own and he has long wanted to cut it to the bone. This is what he is doing. When the Army get smaller, they need fewer Captains, Majors, etc. on down the ranks. Some of these folks won’t be missed much, they are mediocre performers who have been riding the wave. But, many are fine officers who will fall victim to Obama’s desire to spend more money stuffing the pockets of his voters.
Reductions in the aftermaths of wars has been happening throughout the history of the Army. More recently it happening three times after Vietnam, after Gulf War I, and now yet again. Nothing new, not a purge. But, every time that we have done it, we have discovered that we cut too deeply and that we had to build back up to get the Army that we needed. Politicians, though, aren’t too bright and this guy tips the scale on that point.
Thank Congress. They appropriate funding.

Obama is certainly gutting the military, we help from his many friends in Congress, including Republicans. But, there is no purge.
Before this Obama (Muslim) removes more ranking Officers from our Services , Let him reduce the federal employees by 50% AND
Federal Agencies by 80%.

And I can tell you from first-hand experiences that the PC line is being toed throughout the ranks. Folks are afraid to act normally or sanely and it is torture to see some trying to justify their "enlightened" stances as more and more attention (like the Eye of Mordor) is directed downward.
After Barry is out of office (or if he is ever out of office) these officers will be able to “unretire” (unless the rules have changed). We will need them to re-fight the wars we won and Barry surrendered in and the new ones he has caused us to have to fight.

Those Majors at the Pentagon will soon be out in the field and the field Majors will be at the Pentagon. This isn’t a game of musical chairs. You don’t eliminate officers by the billet they currently fill.
You assume that DOD civilians are liberals. DOD is not like other departments. Where I work, 70% of the civilians are vets or military retirees. .

If they started laying off DOD GS civilians, they’d have to be “fair” and lay off people in the EPA, Social Security, etc.... Can’t do that without ticking off the Democrats. Take those DOD civilians and put them on patrol in Afghanistan.
Zero needs the money — not to balance the budget, but to import illegal aliens.
