On his Thursday show, talk radio host Mark Levin argued that the leadership of the Republican Party must be replaced if conservatives are to prevent the country from declining.
He declared, “If we do not clean out the current leadership in the Republican Party ... the country’s going to continue to unravel, the Republican Party too.”
He blasted “neo-statists” who claim to be conservatives, but “would have conservatives abandon the high ground of the Founding principles for the quicksand of a soft tyranny.” And named Michael Gerson, Karl Rove, Jeb Bush, George Bush, John Boehner, and Mitch McConnell as “non-conservatives who pretend to be conservatives.”
“By abandoning principle for efficiency the neo-statist, it seems, is no more bound to the Constitution than is the statist. John Boehner is no more bound to the Constitution, Mitch McConnell is no more bound to the Constitution, and it’s sad to say, the majority of Republicans in the House are no more bound to the Constitution than the statist,” Levin said, adding, “They don’t believe in what we believe in.”
He warned that conservatives should not fall prey to the “deceitful” arguments of the Republican Establishment. Levin pointed out that Republicans increased spending, failed to secure the border, and did nothing to bring the federal government back to its constitutional role despite controlling the House, Senate, and White House from 2000-2006.
“Our biggest obstacle is the Republican Party” he concluded. “If the Bush family had had its way...if Karl Rove had had his way, if Mitch McConnell had had his way, had Thad Cochran...had had his way, Ronald Reagan would never have been the Republican nominee for president.”

I pray your post was missing the sarc tag on Rubio but then to equate Rubio of Cruz is about as wrong as “the most transparent administration in history”
You betcha. These must go and be replaced with young vigorous Constitution supporters: Karl Rove, Jeb Bush, George Bush, John Boehner, and Mitch McConnell. Kick out the losers and bury them in history. The republican party needs new life.
The 2006 Comprehensive Immigration Reform aka Massive Amnesty spearheaded by G.W. Bush was the beginning of the end of the GOP. The result was a loss of Congress.
Loss of Congress and wrongheaded GOP policies of banking and regulation led to the financial meltdown that gave the country over to Obama.
And what of democrat policies? We can always count on them to be traitors to the Constitution. But we can’t have the GOP join them. Had the GOP opposed amnesty and the policies that led to the Wall St. corruption and crash, they would control Congress and the White House today.
Instead we got John McCain in 2008 who is in effect a democrat. In 2012 we got the bottom of the whole rotton barrel in Romney.
2012 should have been a cakewalk for a GOP nominee but it gave 4 more years of Obama.
And 2014 should be a cakewalk for the GOP control of the US Senate. But the GOP establishment will squander that too and won’t mind the lost opportunity as they are bought and paid for by entities that do not care for American Conservatives.
And now we are here with clarity in the corruption of Mississippi and the wrongful death of innocent Tea Party conservatives in Mark Mayfield.
This conservative is not forgetting what the GOP has become.

Cleaning out the leadership would be a start. A good start, but only a start.
No more voting for RINOs ever, under any circumstances. Period.
In the past I voted for McCain, and Romney nationally, and for Scott Brown in Massachusetts. But I guess it depends on your belief in how far gone this nation is, and what it will take to restore it, assuming that is even possible at this point.
Personally, I now believe that the only way to save this nation now (assuming such a thing is still possible) is to put conservatives in political offices and enact an agenda based on free markets, limited government and the rule of law. As long as we have a Republican party that actively opposes those ends (and we do, obviously), then I believe our only (slim) hope is drastic action.
As long as the Republican Party establishment believes that it can continue to survive by being Democrat-lite, and that it can continue to maintain power while actively fighting against the core principles of liberty, free markets and Constitutional law, it will never make the necessary change of direction.
Only when the Republican party understands that it must change or die can we hope to turn this country around. Our too-long-serving entrenched establishment politicians can still enjoy their comfy lifestyles, their wealth, power and prestige as members of a minority party. So why should they bother to change direction?
Surely a John Boehner (or an Eric Cantor -- had he not been defeated -- or a Mitch McConnell) would be just as happy to be minority leaders if the election cycle didn't go their way. Yes, they would prefer to be majority leaders, but what good would it be to them if a conservative Republican Party won the majority and then threw them out of their cushy positions and all those perks, replacing them with real conservatives?
Ask yourself -- which do you think Mitch McConnell would prefer -- a majority Republican party in which he was stripped of his position by a conservative majority, or a minority Republican party in which he could remain Senate minority leader because the majority of Republican senators were RINOs?
You may argue that we have no time to wait for the Republicans to realize that their only choice is to change or die as a viable party. But if we don't have time for that, then what makes you think we have time to wait for the RINOs and the GOP-e to pursue a "moderately marginal" course of action designed only to maintain their personal fiefdoms at the expense of a free America operating under the rule of Constitutional law?
The GOP had majority power in the House and Senate, and occupied the White House, 10 years ago. What did all that power do to move the agenda of liberty forward? Answer: nothing.
A GOP that cannot even sell liberty, limited governments and free markets to the American people is worse than useless. It is a party of tyranny enablers, and I will have none of it.
Unbelievably, today we are facing once again the stark choice between liberty and death.
Once again, these are the times that try men's souls. Conservatives need to be waging aggressive war against the totalitarian leftist tyrants on all fronts -- in the branches of government at the federal and state level, in academia, in the media, through public demonstrations, and in the voting booth.
Many argue that we must continued to vote for "the most electable conservative," which means "vote for the RINO if no conservative is running." But I respectfully disagree with that choice. I am done enabling.
If we really are to lose the greatest country in the history of the world, then let's at least be fighting for it when it goes down.
And who knows, maybe -- just maybe, if we show sufficient resolve and conviction -- divine Providence will once again provide the support that gave our founders their unlikely victory in 1776, and grant us once again the "new birth of freedom" that Lincoln called for a century later.

I agree.
I appreciate Levin’s no-holds-barred stand against big government proponents of both parties and his willingness to name names and take them on.
But you are right, he is tendentious in the extreme (and tiresome) when it comes to the War Between the States. The only thing I can think of that put this burr under his saddle is that he is a Lincolnolator. When he begins one of his anti-South tirades (the colonies had every right to secede from Britain but the southern states had no right to secede from the North, etc.), I turn the station off. I have better things to do than listen to that hobby horse.
To Mark Levin, Abraham Lincoln is an unrivaled hero of American history. All else follows.

This is the way I see it, presently a handful of actual conservatives in the Senate and House with the leadership of Sen. Cruz and Sessions may well have derailed the invasion of our southern border. This in sprite of the best efforts of the Rinos to go along with Obama’s insane plans.
If the GOP can take back the Senate and retain the House, even though dealing with these backstabbers is repugnant to me also, Cruz and Sessions have proven that the truth can change the Republican party’s direction and with their leadership we can take it over. If we splinter our efforts fighting each other it only benefits the Communist/Muslims/Nazi Democrats.
If we fail thru infighting we play into the Democrats hands and insure that the last box is our only option.
Specifically, continuing the sub-prime apocalypse requirements put in place by the Klintoon administration made the sub-prime meltdown inevitable. Some think Glass-Steagall had something to do with it, but the fact is that throwing away some goofy regulations with one hand is not bad in a free market, as long as you aren't mandating that banks make billions in worthless loans with the other hand.
The GOP/E needs to be thought of in the same way as we do the Dems -
they want big government, and they want to control that big government,
to the detriment of personal liberty.
