Gun company Beretta is tone deaf when it comes to calls for restrictions on powerful guns sold in the United States. It must be the chance to make money.
Beretta's website carried an announcement that the ARX100 is "shipping now." Beretta markets the rifle as "Italian Design -- American Built." Regardless of its origins, the gun is unusually powerful.

Does the $1950 price include the laser, magnifier and scope?

That’s a premium price in my book...it would have to include all the bells and whistles.

Disdain for the right to bear arms and capitalism and ignorance of the subject all in the first two lines. Yep, it's Yahoo.

So I assume this is sold as a 5.56 or .223 instead of a 7.62 round. Big deal. Give us a lightweight rifle that can take down a deer at distance.

After millions of people discovered Rolling Stone was still a thing after listing “pistol,” “handgun” and “derringer” as among the five most dangerous guns in America, I guess McIntyre wanted some of that internet fame.

Methinks the writer has only ever shot a 22LR something. I think the writer would wet his pants in terror if he ever had to pick up a 22LR anything.

It’s out of my gun budget, but I’m open to getting one for a birthday or Christmas present.

Yes, soooo powerful that it is suitable for targets or even varmints and small to medium sized game.

It is effing BEAUTIFUL! Stainless! I added a Silver Finish Leupold Quick Release mount and Sliver VX-3 Scope with QR Rings.
I also didn’t like the brown walnut finished so I disassembled and stained to mahogany... me likee very much. Those cartridges are almost as long as my pinky finger and look like a 45 LC on steroids. It does kick some, though. :o)

Is that a jab at the ugly duckling?
To: Jeff Chandler
I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but it looks pretty hideous to me. That's not to say that it's not a great gun, it may be. It looks a lot like FN's new rifle, which I also find fugly. I guess people thought the AR-15/M-16 was ugly too, but it looks classic now.
Rifle aesthetics reached their high point in the 1900's with the various Browning designed lever-actions, although the classic bolt guns are pretty sweet too. None of the plastic stuff really comes close.
