Witnesses say a pregnant woman in labor was prevented by authorities from crossing a Los Angeles street to a hospital Wednesday because the road had been closed for President Barack Obamas impending motorcade.
The unidentified woman was barred from walking the few hundred feet to the hospital for at least 30 minutes as authorities waited for the presidents motorcade to pass by, witness Carrie Clifford told TheBlaze early Thursday morning.
I felt bad for her, Clifford said. It does happen when Obama comes to L.A. or Im sure anywhere else. It paralyzes the city, it does make it complicated.
You cant do the things you had set out to do because the president is in town, she added.

Democrats War on Women!
How dare anyone question King Soebarkah
How dare she offend the Caliph (PBUH).
She should be stoned.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if nobama cared, just a little bit, about this.
It was the reporter left the scene, correct?
More of the Republican War on Women! :/
Zero’s war on women...
I flip his “beast” the big bird each time it drives by.
Can't hold up the King.
We as a people have allowed the office of President to become an elected monarchy. It did not start with Obama. No other freely elected leaders around the world get the full imperial treatment as our Presidents have gotten in my lifetime. One aspect of this trend that should be truly offensive to any small r republican is the office of the First Lady. The spouse of the President should have no role period, but we have created our own form of a queen consort. Presidents of the 18th and 19th centuries had a sense of their standing as set out by the Founders, but that has been all lost with our modern monarchy. We can point fingers at Obama for this, while the leftists respond with Nixon, but the truth is that we as a people have been guilty of creating this affront to the Founders. We have acquiesced to the trappings of monarchy.
It says something about the imperial presidency that the president of the US needs such protection.
I noticed that there are gun placements and soldiers on the white house now.
I guess that there is a part of me that says risk is part of the job.
Thirty minutes? She will spend more time getting admitted.
rules-based morons
let me say it one more time.....
And WE are the ones running a WAR ON WOMEN????????
When the sheet head was in Austin last month, the PD closed several streets at least 30 minutes to the motorcades. Really ticked off the locals, but I cheered the LEOs on, since it affected the liberals downtown.
Somehow, amazingly, hospital workers tended to her on the bench. I just want to know how/why they were allowed to cross the street and she wasn’t.
Because that would have diminished the perception of the power he has over the populous.
