If I were to hazard a guess, it is MOST LIKELY that the plane was shot down by SAM’s provided by Russia to the East Ukrainian Rebels.
In this conflict, you almost always see Ukrainian PLANES making rocket attacks on the rebels.
And most recently, we had this news:
