Netanyahu: If Hamas does not hold fire, Israel will have broad legitimacy to hit back hard
The Jerusalem Post ^ | Tuesday, July 15, 2014 | Herb Keinon

Posted on 07/15/2014 9:24:05 AM PDT by Star Traveler

As Hamas rockets continued to fall on Israel even after Jerusalem accepted the Egyptian ceasefire proposal at 9 A.M., Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that if Hamas does not accept the ceasefire than Israel will “have all international legitimacy to broaden the military operation to achieve the required quiet.”

Netanyahu, speaking at the beginning of a meeting in Tel Aviv with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, said that Israel “agreed to the Egyptian proposal in order to give an opportunity for the demilitarization of the Strip - from missiles, from rockets and from tunnels - through diplomatic means."

The prime minister, in his first public comments since Israel accepted the ceasefire, said that the purpose of Operation Protective Edge was and remains to return quiet to Israel's citizens while delivering a severe blow to Hamas and other terrorist organizations. He said that Israel succeeded in hitting the terrorist organizations in Gaza very hard, and prevented their efforts to attack Israeli citizens.

Well ... you can see that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is proceeding in a very deliberate fashion, and laying down all the political groundwork for doing what he has to with the Hamas terrorist operation in Gaza!

Israel actually did warn the Palestinian civilians about that a day or two ago. The civilians were leaving the area that Israel warned them about.

Israel will be accused of “breaking the cease-fire” that never existed.

“Tell the people to get out first then flatten the terrorists”

True. I have never agreed with this ‘measured response’ thing. Go in and kick derriere!

It’s too well established and it was announced clearly that Egypt brokered it and that Israel accepted, but that Hamas refused. It’s way too easy for anyone to refute ... with simply a “newspaper” in their hand ... LOL ...

About the only country in the world speaking out on behalf of Hamas right now is Turkey ... and they sound like real idiots for doing so.

Time to clean house on Hamas and the Palestinians in Gaza. Use MLRS M26/M26A1 rockets with M77 or M85 cluster bomblets and the IAF can carpet bomb Gaza day and night with cluster munitions and anti-vehicle bomblets (aka “skeet”). When we've killed about 1.8 Muslims in Gaza, ship the survivors to the West Bank and ask those idiots if they want to play war.

After clearing out Gaza, bulldoze the place and start building Israeli settlements. Tell the West Bank Palestinian morons that this is their fate if they keep firing rockets into Israel. You only get to pull on Superman's cape before he really gets mad and cleans your clock.

Israel doesn’t commit war crimes!

If Israel targeted Palestinian civilians in order to kill them and in order to get them to leave the country and force a mass migration of the population (which is exactly what the enemies of Israel claim it does) - then that would be a war crime.

If Israel targets Hamas operatives and Hamas buildings and war material, and avoid hitting Palestinian civilians (which is what Israel says it does and “does”) - then that is not a war crime.

The second of the two paragraphs is what Israel actually does and which the ENEMIES OF ISRAEL deny that they do. Also those who “feign support” for Israel also are the ones who urge Israel to commit war crimes (and Israel doesn’t listen to those “faux-supporters”).

How about if Israel pays for all those innocent, peaceful Palestinians who want to live deport themselves to an Arab country of their choice? Let Hamas, Hezbullah, the PA, and all the other psycho Palestinians have Gaza and the West Bank? Once you've gotten rid of the innocent collateral damage, now it's just the crazy psychos left to fight. You will never have peace until either the psycho Palestinians or the Israelis are defeated. Defeat for Israel means extermination and that is not an option. Better the Palestinians are defeated once and for all.

Their facilities and buildings can’t get up and walk away ... :-) ...

As far as getting the actual Hamas operatives themselves, Israel is pretty good at getting them when they least expect it .... it just goes “boom” on them.

Destroy them. Until they come crawling.

You don’t cry peace and accept violence.

If the other guy betrays his word, he deserves what he gets.

Go, Iron Dome!

Seriously, why is this ex-Nazi collaborator still alive? I'd thought that some government would have whacked the Evil One long ago. Various intelligence agencies are very good at arranging accidents.
