Glenn Beck said bringing soccer balls, teddy bears, and hot meals to illegal immigrants who have been detained along the U.S.-Mexico border will be the most right thing he has ever done.
On July 19, Beck will travel to McAllen, Texas, because he believes Americans must "open our hearts" to the illegal immigrant children who have been unlawfully entering the country.
"Ive never taken a position more deadly to my career than this and I have never, ever taken a position that is more right than this," Beck claimed, according to The Blaze.
Beck said helping illegal immigrant children, most of whom have fled Central American nations, was more "right" to him than even calling out radical Islam.
Were going to fill some tractor-trailers with food, with water, Beck said. The churches have asked us if we could bring teddy bears and soccer balls, so weve loaded up a whole tractor-trailer of nothing but teddy bears and soccer balls. And then Im going to go serve breakfast and lunch, and Im going to help unload these trucks, hot meals for 3,000. Thats what were doing.
Some illegal immigrants have been found to have contagious diseases and dangerous gang affiliations, but Beck also emphasized that the United States should be accessible to "all those fleeing poverty and violence."

Exactly.
And “a whole tractor-trailer of nothing but teddy bears and soccer balls”! Wow! What idiot would pick just those two items? Pretty sure they were examples from these equally stupid church leaders.
‘Bye, Glen. You taught me a lot when you were on TV, but you have lost it.
Somalia would look civilized by comparison.

Well said.
Opening your hearts and being compassionate does not mean that you have to accept their law breaking.
Indeed it is quite inhumane to separate children for their parents in the name of a naked political power play.
Feed them, bathe them, treat their illnesses. Then send them home.
Well said!
The post-TV Glenn is so far off his rocker now that he belongs in the pulpit of some whacked-out cult “religion”.

You are right. Back when he was on CNN and then FOX, we did not have a DVR. His was the only program that I absolutely refused to miss. His radio program is impossible to listen to IMO with the annoying banter among him and his two buddies.
I used to be signed up for emails from his site, and I even spent money on some of his sponsors, but, once he threw Clive Bundy under the bus, I unsubscribed.
Remember when he was having health issues and had to eat strange foods? Perhaps he was poisoned by someone and it’s affecting his brain.
Christianity is not a suicide pact.
Daniel didn’t leap into the lions den. Nor did he bring the lions into his quarters.
Agree completely.
And I hear these guys and their amigos put in a special request for several thousand rounds of 115 grain 9mm hollow points and .357 Magnum.
Beck doesn’t “fall for it”. He is PART OF IT. He has never been a conservative. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, just like all Mormons that profess to be Christians but then denounce Jesus as nothing but another “prophet”.
I agree with you more than you know.
However, the response to this needs to be careful.
Once conservatives are on record as projecting hate at ‘children’ (what they want...again, the ‘manipulation’), we’ve lost the PR war.
I don’t have the answers, but I don’t think being willingly manipulated is one of them...
I firmly believe this was intended to provoke a ‘response’. We shall see the effects quite soon.
Good observations all the way around...
“However, the response to this needs to be careful.”
No, it does not. This “worrying about PR war” stuff needs to end. That’s how we end up with republicans always talking like they’re on NPR while democrats can be as righteously indignant as they like. Screw that!
The proper response is to say “this is an obvious plot, these children do not belong here, they are filled with diseases that we eradicated decades ago and they need to be put on the other side of the border right now. We will not give them hot meals or soccer balls, we will give them transportation back across the border.”
Enough of this Lindsey Graham “it’s a humanitarian problem” crap! THAT is what is manipulative!
Beck is a flake. His highly produced program is an on-air kool aide parlor where he doles out doses of holier than thou nonsense. He’s very slick in how he twists religion to neutralize listeners.
I think his problem started when he got friendly with Alvieda King and adopted this MLK/Ghandi mindset that peace and nonviolent passive resistence to evil is the answer, always!
Well, it sometimes is... but it depends on the nature and ruthlessness of the enemy not on the peacefulness of the means. Remember, the Bible also says to resist the Devil and he will flee. It doesn't say to love him because he is your neighbor! King/Ghandi tactics are fine against a waning democratic power like Great Britain or a basically benign and decent power like the United States, but they are helpless against the vicious, ruthless, totalitarian kind. That requires a different strategy unless your purpose is to simply wallow in your own blood and misery.
Frankly, another factor might be that his huge rally on the Washington Mall may have been simply too much for his ego to withstand. Such attention has been fatal to many men and is the bane of politicians.
It's a shame because Beck has done a lot of good work. He has been a pioneer in exposing the enemy but he appears to have been drawn off track by the siren call of that very enemy; fame and power.
I suspect this stand will finish Beck. But maybe somebody else can pick up his media empire at a fire sale price and carry on the work?
Beck gets some things right, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s a nut case.
He used to have quite a cult following on this forum, especially among the paranoid Soros obsessives.
What in the world??!! I like him in many ways, but he is wrong on this issue.
Enough of this Quisling.
If you subscribe, STOP.
Let him go on a crying jag with Boehner.
Im all for the children. OURS!
If these people from other countries are willing to do this to their children;
THATS THEIR PROBLEM.
Preventing the spread of disease, crime, and poverty from these outcasts is ours.
