Called Grand Prairie, TX, local govt. about their decision to house 2000 illegal immigrants, and I talked to the secretary Lydia and she said that the Fed govt. ordered that Grand Prairie ISD take them in, and then I asked her why doesn't Grand Prairie invoke the 10th amendment and she hung up on me.
I called many more times and got the runaround and finally talked to Grand Prairie city Manager Tom Hart, and asked him him his political affiliation and then he hung up on me.
The problem is that you called the wrong place.
You called the city, which was neither involved nor consulted about housing the kids in an abandoned school. If you were rude, no wonder they hung up on you. You called the wrong office and talked to the wrong people.
See Post #28.
Call Grand Prairie ISD or the Dallas County Judge’s office if you want to complain to the people responsible.
What part of the saying, "I don't serve the government, the government serves me", don't you understand.
I guess you like government tyranny.
What a nonsensical reply. The city government had nothing to do with the problem and no authority. You were given facts to work with but chose to ignore them.
You can’t be effective if you ignore the facts...and simply rant.
IMHO
Sir, you don’t call the plumber when your electricity goes out.
Or maybe you do, judging by your seeming inability to understand this issue.
The city government was out of the loop in this matter and your calls were totally misdirected.
Your name would suggest that you are a Texan. Surely you know that school administration, county government, and city government are totally separate entities. Ideally, they work together. Sometimes, and this is one of them, they don’t.
$1.3M a week?!? Good grief! That’s not just for a couple weeks but for the rest of their lives and their anchor babies and their soon to arrive parents and cousins and neighbors and dog groomers and mailmen and... Why should our tax dollars have to be wasted on these people? Dump them at their embassy and wash our hands of them. Use that $1.3M on SECURING THE BLEEPING BORDER.
Sorry, maybe posted to soon. Were those millions for Texas to secure the border or to house the little kiddies?

Thanks for the ping!
DallasB, ping Windflier to Texas activism stuff for wide Texas coverage.

You betcha. Always my pleasure!
Bwhahahahah
and hair tonic or national speeches.....
Welcome to Texas for another 2000 worthless grass crawling disease carrying invaders that we will have to educate all the way through college.
We can thank ol Rick for that.
We gotta stop them at the border and turn them back. Once they get a foot hold in the liberal bastions they are home free.
Thanks for the ping
I expect this has been mentioned, but I’m remembering that horrible day when Feds held a monster weapon in Elian Gonzales’ face so that he could be kidnapped and returned to his home country. That was during a Democrat administration.
Of course, the people who emigrate from Cuba tend to be hard-working, productive people, i.e., conservatives. Only potential Dem voters are welcome here, I guess.
I am absolutely close enough for a protest on this one.

Shove 'em in a dozen 18-wheeler livestock trailers, haul 'em about 200 miles into Mexico (with military escort if necessary) and kick 'em out.
Dear Hero of Benghazi:
It’s been two weeks since illegals have been openly flooding across the border and bussed and flown into the country with the help of the border patrol. How many have been deported so far and when will the rest be sent back to their home countries?
Thanks for the ping.
Lydia says that the city wasn’t planning on this, to call Judge Clay Jenkins.
Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins 411 Elm Street Dallas, Texas 75202 Phone: 214-653-7949 Fax: 214-653-6586
I spoke with the Grand Prairie public schools communication lead:
Sam Buchmeyer
Grand Prairie ISD Director of
Public Information
(972) 264-6141
I brought up the health hazard, the safety risk. He quoted a lot of things from the government. I said the government is lying about those matters, referencing Border Patrol reports.
The kids at Lamar Elementary are supposed to be 2-8 years old. Only 500 or so. But that is still going to put a strain on local charities and social services.
I told him that it was a health risk to bring in children with less documentation of health status than the records I have to provide to enroll my kids. He said they’d be screened by a federal contractor.
I informed him that any attempt to go forward with this will lead to protestors blocking the bus. He said I wasn’t the first person to tell him that today.
