Did the State Department under Hillary Clinton deliberately refuse to classify what has been described as sensitive information housed at the U.S. special mission in Benghazi?
The storage of any officially classified information in the compound would have required the deployment of the U.S. Marine Corps Embassy Security Group for protection.
Instead, external security at the facility was provided by unarmed local Libyan guards.
Armed members of the Martyrs of the February 17th Brigades served as the official quick-reaction force that worked within the compound. The Brigade is an offshoot of the Ansar Al Sharia terrorist organization that was implicated in the Benghazi attack.

Issa no longer has it. Trey Gowdy has it as the Chairman of the Select Committee on Benghazi and his investigator is digging. Apparently he is finding more as the influx of attempted Benghazi CYA stories are on the uptick. That tells me that people are starting to get scared and are hoping their buddies in the media can run some interference.

My understanding is that Congress is only in session for 28 more days between now and the elections. I assume that means the same for investigative committees as well. Doesn’t seem much more dirt will be surfacing in the next 4 months.

I don't know for sure. I do know that Gowdy is very meticulous in preparing a case. That's the main reason he's never lost.
I seem to recall an article in which he said sometime in late July.
AFAIC, I'd rather he take his time and nail the SOBs good. Jail time, etc. Instead of glossing over anything.
I kinda disagree, but this is my take on this.
All half way intelligent Americans know that Hillary Clinton is a conniver and ruthless politician who will stop at nothing to get what she wants, ie the presidency. She lacks as much experience as the guy in office now. She’s 180 degrees opposite most Americans on the issues, but she has a strong left wing following.
So let’s give her the opportunity to win people like us on Free Republic over. Okay?
I think Obama may very well have called her to tell her to announce the Benghazi fiasco as a trumped up response to a video, and I fully have to imagine that Hillary did indeed say to him that people “would not find that credible, Mr. President”.
HERE’S THE REAL ISSUE. THE ONLY ISSUE.
HAD SHE REFUSED TO GO ALONE WITH THIS PLOY, AND RESIGNED HER OFFICE IN PROTEST, KNOWING FULL WELL THAT IT MIGHT JEOPARDIZE, NOT ONLY OBAMA’S RE-ELECTION BUT ALSO HER OWN POLITICAL FUTURE, SHE WOULD HAVE WON MY RESPECT, BECAUSE SHE WOULD NOT ONLY HAVE DONE THE RIGHT THING, BUT MORE SO, SHOW TREMENDOUS COURAGE.
But alas, she did neither. So, this only shows more so now, that she is not presidential timber.
You are actinglike this story is for REAL!!! It is NOT!! There is NO WAY that conversation went on!! It’s Ed Klein’s way of PROMTING Hillary’s “CENTRISTNESS”....kind of like truthiness....doesn’t exist.

The reason there were no Marine guards or responsible American Diplomatic or Military presence was because Obama and Hillary were doing any one of a number of dirty deals, including some for personal enrichment or advancement, out of Benghazi that they would rather not have any official scrutiny.
Yep, worse than Fast and Furious and the IRS combined. Their nefarious plan backfired and the cover-up began.

I hear what you’re saying. Klein, implies that Hillary took a hit for Obama by agreeing that it was a video. In short, she’s loyal etc.
Maybe so, but has anyone asked her about this? If she denys it, then she was part of the cover up, if she admits this being true, then she basically reveals her cowardice.
All in all I don’t see how this helps her.
In 2008 Obama says to Hillary “I need you to help me get elected then serve as my secretary of state. Do that and I’ll help you be the next president.” So, Hillary did as she was asked.
In 2012 Obama says to Hillary “I need you to help me get re-elected. Do that and I’ll help you be the next president.” Hillary did as she was asked.
In 2014 Obama says to Elizabeth Warren “If you’ll run I’ll help you be the next president.”
Watch for more and more Benghazi info come out against Hillary. Don’t you know the Clintons’ heads are about to explode!
