Hi Kathy!
I did not see the hummers today, had appointments in town. Tomorrow is another day.
I’ve been in the area several times. It’s right next to White Sands National Monument. And it’s not too far from the site where America’s first atomic bomb was tested before dropping them on Japan. I’ve been to that atomic bomb site, too.
Welcome to the Canteen, OftheOhio.
Quite a feat for this Marine...such tender care.
Yea, the little baby rabbit seems to trust the Marine, lol.
Imagine that.
Good evening, ms feather...((HUGS))
Hope all your appointments went well. I’ve been buried all day. We are short a day this week. Everything has to be done today and be corrected by noon Tuesday instead of Wednesday.
Just hanging tonight, no cards, I'm no glutton for punishment. Heading back to Oregon Wednesday. Hope all is well with you.
Good evening, Luv...she was on the road to her kids on the east coast, and expecting to post. But she got stuck with weather and traffic near Atlanta.
Hopefully she has safely arrived. d:o)
I hope she got there all right, too! That is such a long drive...right up her alley! :)
Welcome to the Canteen, Star Traveler. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
The bomb sites must be pretty interesting.
Too cute....I feel just like that puppy.
Still at work for a bit...a little homework will go home with me. Friday holiday messed us up. We have to have payroll done tomorrow instead of Wednesday.
A night off of cards would be good. LOL!
Prayers for a safe journey home, Pro. ((HUGS))
I’ve been there!... but it was a long time ago, 1974, and I was wearing my blue suit in those days. I was TDY for a project, discussing testing of an inertial navigation system.
However I was close enough to see their airfield light about 10 months ago. I saw it from White Sands Missile Range, where I was involved in preparations for a Surface To Air Missile system test. Test went well, but I was laid off 2 months before the test. In fact I was out there my last week, training my replacement. I’d been out there a lot in the previous year plus, but didn’t realize how close our test site was to Holloman.
Holloman and White Sands Missile Range are now a Joint Base.
Not good about being involved in all the lead up and then not getting to see it happen. And layoffs are not good.
Hope you and yours, and all the little ones, are all doing well.
And we thank you for your service to our country.
Thank you for doing your part to help keep all of us free and safe.
Thanks, unique, for the pastries.
Coffee is always on........
How about a cupcake?
Cookies?
Pancakes?
Treats?
((HUGS))Good morning, Ladies. Thanks for this morning's thread, Lauren. How's it going?
