Not because I hate the planet or because I am a bigot. I think products ought to be sold on the basis of their VALUE, and trying to "guilt" me into buying something in a mass market like Wal-Mart is despicable.
I would rather buy items as a charitable contribution to those who REALLY are struggling. For instance, there are women in Afghanistan making shawls and trying to sell there wares in order to survive....or communities of women in Haiti working with missionaries and entrepreneurs to make native jewelry. The craftsmanship is remarkable and worth supporting....for the sake of the women....
But Wal-Mart or anyone else trying to highlight mass market stuff? For me it will BACKFIRE.
PC is a cancer on our society.
The stunt won’t make me want to buy it, as a matter of fact, I would make a point of not buying it because of the label.
I would not buy it. Businesses owned by women already get special privileges from the government. It’s called minority set asides, an illegal and unconstitutional program that discriminates against White males.
This label will make something about as appealing as crappy Chinese junk to me.
Screw diversity, celebrate competence!
I’d like to see “Middle-aged White Guy Owned” labels on products. I would buy those.
I agree. Let them label it, so I’ll know which products to avoid.
I’m a guy. Why would I buy something from a bunch of feminine kumbaya types?
Do they sell shooting sports accessories?
Do they sell a new brand of coffee with ‘within a month different flavors’?
Do they sell apple pies?
Do they sell beer?
Salsa? That’s Mexican food, and not included in my preferred diet.
Well, I guess we’ll be seeing the names of Chinese women on these products?
Now I know what products to avoid.
But wait! Are these natural organic women, or remanufactured trannies? We need certification on this as well.
how about a t-shirt that says “Woman Owned” in men’s sizes S to 3X?
I am sure the people who buy their clothes at Walmart care.
Hey maybe they can cover all 56 genders like on Facebook?
