If a certain fecal matter had been the only instance of disrepute revealed from within the ranks of the Environmental Protection Agency today, that would have been more than enough; alas it wasnt.

The environmental agency is having trouble locating emails belonging to a former agency employee and pulling information from his crashed hard drive, House members revealed Wednesday while questioning Administrator Gina McCarthy at a hearing on complaints of mismanagement.
What is it with bureaucrats and public employees the hard drives crash? asked Rep. Kerry Bentivolio (R-Mich.).
He and others on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee questioned McCarthy about missing information related to the committees investigation into the potential environmental impact of a proposed gold and copper mine in the Bristol Bay watershed in Alaska. McCarthy kept insisting throughout the hearing that were having trouble getting information off of it and are trying different ways...

This "crashed" hard drive should be sitting on a shelf at EPA HQ. If it is not there, and the rest of the hard drives are, this will be further proof, as if more was necessary, that the Administration is intentionally destroying evidence in the face of Congressional subpoenas.
Contempt of congress?
Who doesn’t have contempt for congress?
In other words: nothing that would catch the interest of the media.
Computer “crashes” are happening all over the land of the most transparent government. LOL! Wake up America! We don’t have very much longer before it’s going to be too late!
5 frigging years with the same laptop.
Dual hard drives.
No failures.
8 Years with another one of my computers.
Dual Hard drives.
No failures.
14 years with my server.
Dual hard drives.
No failures.
I must be living right.
Wow, what are the odds. What bad luck.
In the next weeks or months at most Congress Reps/Senate needs to step up their game. Otherwise they will become as impotent as the senate became in the start of the Roman Empire. It is not that hard to see how things have been done that way before.
As with the IRS, these e-mails are public property; even if they were private law firms, their clients would be entitled to copies.
The EPA sees this strategy working over at the IRS, so they figure they’ll `rinse and repeat.’
This is government arrogance on stilts, thinking they can get away with it.
Terminate a few SES drones—with loss of pensions—and we’ll see government worker bees calling Issa offering to supply everything and more that he requests.
The DEMOCRAT PARTY is a CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE!!!
The Dems are SO used to their constituents being so STUPID, they think we are ALL STUPID!!!!
How much you wanna bet that if even a quarter of these “crashes” are true - it’s because of all the viruses that were picked up from porno sites?
Threaten, nothing. In the words of a fellow who is on my mind today, “If you have to shoot, shoot. Don’ talk.”
BUMP!
I’ve been playing with computers since 1973.
Have had two drive crashes. First was in 1984, a Fujitsu 158MB (that’s right MEGAbyte) drive that had three 14” platters. Drive and power supply weighed 150 lbs. Second was in 1990, a 150MB full height EDSI drive in the first PC I owned.
I don’t know how many hours the Fuji drive had on it. Thousands and thousands I suspect. The EDSI drive was about six years old when it crashed.
I have Western Digital drives in my home system that are eight years old and have outlived several computers.
This crap with the IRS and the EPA is a bunch of crap. Subpoena the IT gurus and get it over with.
Maybe the arrestable offense should now be “gullible respect of Congress”.
Anybody who addresses them as “The Honorable xxxx” should be arrested immediately for criminal gullibility.
lol
WD Rocks.
WD bump :)
All I use. Mostly RE4s and some older RE3s. Really old drives are Caviar drives from way back.
Consistent excellence.
Let me get this straight; they have e-mails Snowden sent 15 years ago, perhaps every e-mail he has ever sent and the US gov can’t keep track of theirs?
I got a stack of em sitting on a shelf collecting dust. I oughta fire 'em up to see if they still work.
There is no such charge as “contempt of Congress” unless there is a padded cell available with which to house these Slave Party thugs until they squeal.
