After previously saying America’s borders are more secure than ever, the White House on Tuesday seemingly blamed Republicans for apparent holes along the southern boundary, evidenced by the flood of unaccompanied children streaming into the U.S. from Mexico, Central America and elsewhere.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest challenged Republicans, if they are truly concerned about border security, to back the comprehensive immigration reform package.
“If we really wanted to solve this problem, one good way to do it is for those Republicans to get on board … and support common sense immigration reform,” Mr. Earnest told reporters.

The new narrative that is surfacing is that the Democrats are blaming the Republicans for forcing the Budget sequestration on us ..... that is what has weakened Border Security.
I just said to someone last night that the Dems are frantically looking for a way to blame Republicans for this.
The GOP should fire back in press conference that there has been an immigration reform package on the table for 5 years but Harry Reid has refused to bring it to the floor.
Blame it on the Senate Democrats and go hard at it.

Democrats have been busted setting aside federal money for just this circumstance (a huge influx of central american children without parents) in advance of the influx.
That money could’ve been used at the border if the goal was to PREVENT them from coming here.
