Gallup on June 19 published a poll that dealt with American confidence in institutions, alleging that public faith in Congress reached the lowest point since the question had been polled. Was that the real story? An analysis of the polling results of American confidence in different institutions, and a review of those results over time suggests something much more significant: Americans overwhelmingly express confidence in those institutions historically connected with conservatism and overwhelmingly express little faith in those institutions historically connected with leftism.
The June 19 poll story itself provides a clear picture of how conservative Americans feel when identifying those institutions they trust or do not trust. The first five institutions in which Americans say that they have a great deal of confidence or quite a lot of confidence are, in order, the military, small business, the police, churches, and the medical system.
The bottom of the list includes those parts of the leftist establishment, from the bottom of the list up: Congress, television news, news on the internet, big business, organized labor, and newspapers. Three of those six are arms of the establishment news media. Congress is an institution that activist conservatives instinctively distrust (just ask ex-Majority Leader Eric Cantor); big labor is entirely controlled by the left.
What about big business? Most conservatives have grown to see giant corporations as fawning supplicants for adulation by the left. While conservatives certainly support businesses growing wealthy in the free market, it is small business that conservatives love and trust. Big business seems to be in bed with the Washington insiders, and political correctness reeks from every commercial and every public statement made by these corporate giants.

I don’t agree with any polls because I’ve lost trust in most of my fellow Americans to make a rational or logical decision of any sort. If they strictly poll conservatives, then I’ll listen. If you’re a liberal you have minimal knowledge of history or economics. Your decisions are based on emotion and stupidity.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Stand tall, dawg brother..
WOOF!
Its too bad conservatives don’t have a national political party that represents their interests.
This “we’re a conservative nation” meme is bounced around all the time. A conservative nation doesn’t vote for Obama twice.
Every commercial has to have a white male, black male, Asian female, Middle Eastern female, a gay guy, a gay gal, a three legged dog and a bobtail cat in it! Must hit every demographic!
These identified now as conservative bring to mind the description of a converted.
A newly converted conservative is a liberal who just got mugged.
Most of those libs that thought it was so cool to vote for the halfrican have too been mugged by nobama, just like the rest of us.
I’ve got a little “inside baseball” regarding Gallop. I am a panelist
but I only get to respond to dumb assed surveys about auto preferences,
banking, social media, employment, etc. I am not among those who
get to spount off about politics. However, when GW was president almost all of the surveys started with a question regarding my
attitude about the Bush administration. Since Obama became POTUS
I believe I have only been asked once or twice to evaluate him.
At the end of all surveys they ask the panelists to rate the survey.
I always give the survey the worst score possible.
Darrell Issa , Mike Rogers and John Boehner all talk the talk, but refuse to walk the walk, - - - - they are not good for America.
They all whine and moan about being stonewalled by the Commie Obama Administration, but NOTHING effective happens, except for the formation of the Benghazi Committee under Trey Gowdy.
The House RINOs had their chance for OVER FOUR YEARS and have done NOTHING, proving that they are not good for America, PERIOD!
It is time to mow down the not good in the House, ASAP!
Suggested actions:
* “Encourage” your Rep in the US House to force Boehner to resign, before August 1, 2014.
* “Encourage” your House Rep in the US House to force do-nothing Chairmen such as Issa and Mike Rogers to resign, before Labor Day, 2014.
* “Encourage” your House Rep in the US House to publicly support Republicans who have proven that they have placed Country before Party.
While the RINOs may get re-elected to the House, we need to have them as far removed from any leadership role as possible.
The RINOs have failed to even slow down the Obamanation of America, even though they held the power of the purse for four years.
If a RINO cannot be voted out of office, then he/she must be relegated to a position subordinate to a fire-in-the-belly Conservative Republican Representative such as Trey Gowdy.
Early Primary voting begins soon after Labor Day in many States.
Most voters have made up their minds about who to vote for by Labor Day: Tick-tock, FReepers, Tick-TOCK!
No, but 30-35% of them will always vote for the RAT, whoever it is. Subtract those who stayed home from our side's potential, and add the massive fraud they perpetrate to their side, and we lose. Is there anyone who can honestly say he doesn't believe that we'd have been in better shape with Romney? But instead of the mushy middle we got the raving Marxist!
But their aversion to admitting being wrong prevents them from ever 'fessing up.
Big Business = Corporatism = Crony Capitalism = Third Position Economics = Fascism.
prevents them from ever ‘fessing up..... In public.
In private anyone with the possible exception of the nobama-phone recipients, do not much like to be mugged, especially by “their guy”.
If that's the case, why do we have an Marxist in the White House?
Please note: the question in the previous question is strictly rhetorical in nature.
