Shhh — Don’t tell anybody, because it’s a big secret: The Cheneys of Wyoming, father and daughter, were largely right about Iraq back in 2003, and they are correct now as well.
Former vice president Dick Cheney and former high-ranking State Department official Liz Cheney kicked up a predictable firestorm last week when they wrote a Wall Street Journal column blasting President Obama’s foreign and defense policies. Concurrently, they announced a new 501(c)(4) grassroots organization called The Alliance for a Strong America. This group is sure to become a target for lefty loonies and Rand Paul, who doubtless hope to trace the trail of evil money from Halliburton and other Death Star sources and expose the Alliance as a threat to the very existence of Planet Earth.
The establishment media weren’t the only ones to get a case of the vapors. Even Megyn Kelly of Fox News got into the act. “Time and again,” she said, “history has proven that you got it wrong in Iraq, sir.” With that track record, said scores of critics, how dare the Cheneys open their mouths on the subject now? Well, it’s a darn good thing they are doing so. With American interests in tatters, it takes people of the Cheneys’ stature to force the debate beyond the media’s usual Obama-friendly platitudes. I spoke by phone with Liz Cheney last week, and she makes the case far better than I can.
Let’s consider first of all what the U.S. actually accomplished, despite a number of operational missteps, between the allied liberation of Iraq in 2003 and the end of the Bush-Cheney administration in early 2009.

I like Dick Cheney, a lot. Don’t get why the loony left hates him, they got nothing on him. They react almost like they do to Sarah Palin.
I wouldn’t mind jointing Cheney’s new enterprise. I saw Cheney speak live at a fundraiser, an this is a dude who gets it and doesn’t need a flippin teleprompter to stay on message.

he is genuinely smart... highly intelligent... unlike the faux intellects in the current White House and the MSM... it was evident in his debate with Joe Lieberman in 2000 and with John Edwards in 2004, and every other time he has been interviewed... i love the man for his intellect... his wife Lynn Cheney too...

The photo of him at the “coronation” of that POS 0bama says all I need to know about Mr. Cheney’s character...he saw right through him and recognized 0bama for what he is...a RINO would have been slathering kisses on 0bama like our so-called “representatives” in DC have been doing for the past 6 years...
Sorry, Mr. Cheney may have been part of an administration that made some mistakes, but I have little doubt that the man’s heart, what’s left of it, has been spent in defense of this country vs. a crap load of others who have done little else but talk.
Regardless of whether folks like/dislike Dick Cheney, when he and Bush were in charge of the country, I felt safe in the homeland (from AQ, et al). Now, I don’t. At all.
The Bolsheviks in the dimrat party hate Cheney and Palin because they are right. And they don’t bend to the demands of the rats. He doesn’t need a teleprompter because his wisdom comes from years of intelligent thought and through years of experience in his field.
Compared to the current leaders this is such a quantum leap.

All of the Cheney’s are first class. Absolutely. Cheney is a man’s man. Brilliant, articulate, courageous, and everything else that is needed for true leadership. Not to mention his appeal to women because he is a real man....... which prompted the Cheney Chick Club many years ago. Proud to be a lifetime member.
It’s not just the left who dislike Cheney, there are a few freepers who are shooting at him as well
