The voters in Harlem have done nothing but elect crooks for the past 50 years and more. Charlie Rangel certainly qualifies.

Rangel’s district is two thirds Hispanic. They want one of their own similar to what happened to Stephen Solarz. Many black congressmen are finding themselves in a similar situation as their districts change demographically. Maxine Waters is another one in a predominantly Hispanic district.

Yes, that’s right. The news media finally went after Adam Clayton Powell and proclaimed that he was a crook. So Harlem elected Charlie Rangel to replace him.

IIRC, even after he was convicted or disciplined for his crookery, he was re-elected. To me, it was the first case of black nullification (i.e., get over on whitey, the man, etc.) That later rose to what happened with the OJ Jury.

And they both had a penchant for Caribbean “vacations.” ACP’s favorite spot was Bimini, while Charlie the Tuna likes The Dominican Republic. CTT routed ACP for being a crook, then assumed the role. More recently ACP’s son ran against CTT claiming CTT was a crook. The truth is none of them would know the truth if it bit them on the a$$.

Isn’t old Charlie a little bit Hispanic himself? The surname Rangel seems to have Spanish connections. Who cares who or what Harlem elects since its going into the ‘Rat column. Voting along ethnic, racial or gender lines is just el stupido and apparently majority stupids vote and win elections too. Whatchyagonnado?
