The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office ruled Wednesday that the Washington Redskins' name is ''disparaging of Native Americans'' and should be stripped of trademark protection - a decision that puts powerful new financial and political pressure on the NFL team to rename itself.
By a vote of 2-1, the agency's Trademark Trial and Appeal Board sided with five Native Americans in a dispute that has been working its way through legal channels for more than two decades.

A federal agency has ruled that the Washington Redskins’ name disparages Native Americans. Hundreds of other companies use Native American images to sell their wares. Here’s what their logos look like
The Washington Redskins lost their trademark (pending appeal) on Wednesday after a federal agency ruled that the football team’s name is “disparaging to Native Americans.”
While the team will no longer have exclusive rights to its name, it is far from the last business to use Native American imagery in its merchandise. The United States Patent and Trademark Office categorizes all logos by the images they contain. Those records include over 600 active trademarks for insignia that feature Native American men and women, registered to 450 different companies. In most cases, no one is accusing these companies of disparagement. If faced with an action the agency evaluates whether trademarks were disparaging at the time of their registration.
Here’s a look at all the Native American imagery trademarked in the U.S. from the now-defunct Redskins logo to Land O’Lakes butter and American Spirit cigarettes.

Just rename them. Get rid of the name Washington, because he probably owned slaves. Name them for the town they are in, Landover. And call them the Landover Rednecks. Cuz crackas can’t be offended.
In other articles, reporters and bloggers have done other searches and found a number of “offensive” terms that are still subject to active, renewed patents. Words that slur other ethnic groups at least as much as “redskins.”
In Native Choktaw, “Oklahoma” means “red people” I expect all federal funds to be suspended immediately...

This arbitrary ruling will not stand up in court.
This Redskins thingy is nothing but a slight of hand.
As I have pointed out many times, nobama and the WhiteyHut play the game of poking us in the eye with attention getting abuses that are later reversed, by them or the court, all the while assisting his cohorts raiding the Treasury in a thousand ways and almost openly supporting the caliphate centered around Val Jarret’s Iran.
And their lobbyists.

Better yet, go and try to sell a t-shirt with a (now) disapproved logo, or play the (Red)Skins fight song without paying song royalties ...

The CBC is a racist organization. They don’t let whites in.
Take that to all the talk shows. Do Youtube videos on it. Make it go viral. La Raza is racist. Go after EVERY liberal organization. Sue them and force them to spend money. Defund every NPR/ PBS type of entity out there and force them into court.
