Another member of the U.S. House has joined the conversation about the possibility of impeaching President Obama for illegal activities, confirming his colleagues probably would vote for the move.
The comments come from Rep. Lou Barletta, R-Pa., in an interview with radio host Gary Sutton.
We have a president who has taken this to a new level. And its put us in a real position where hes just absolutely ignoring the Constitution, ignoring the laws, ignoring the checks and balances, he said.
The problem is, what do you do? For those who say impeach him for breaking the laws or not enforcing the laws, you know. Could that pass, in the House? It probably, it probably could. Are the majority of American people in favor of impeaching President Obama? Im not sure, he said.
He cited the recent primary election loss for House Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va.
I think what happened in Virginia is what youre going to start seeing around the country.
Theyre going to look at their specific member of Congress and their own U.S. senator. If they dont feel youre standing up for them, theyre going to throw you out and theyre going to send somebody else there.

yep, going to have to wait after the election in Nov. and the cleaning of the Senate
Article 1, Section 3, clause 6: The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.
7: Judgment in Cases of impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.
Don’t need to wait. If the impeachment articles pass the house the senate had to hold the trial.
The area which is problematic is the two third vote to remove. Even with a repubs majority the thirds will be very difficult.
But let’s get started.
With a big enough public outcry, the Democrats will vote to impeach him to clean the slate before 2016. Easier for another Den to run cleanly.

Blah blah blah... they will never do it. There is nothing... NOTHING obongo could do to cause enough republicans to band together and impeach him.

I don’t care if the senate does not go along. Sometimes you do the right thing even if you lose in the end.

We need a big flag with a picture of a juicy Georgia Peach. There is a sticker on the Peach with the gothic cap.letter ‘M’. This is on everybody’s mind more and more each day, each hour. You don’t even have to put your conservative life in danger by printing who the subject is. Impeach? Impeach Who....Who else other than Obumbles.
This next election cycle should be interesting. How would you like to be the Democratic candidate and be being asked “Would you vote in favor of the impeachment of President Obama?” The question is more damaging than the answer.
I think the tipping point was the Bergdahl/ Taliban Five lunancy. Added to everything else, it was just too much to be brushed off as Faux News follies, even for many of the Obots.

I guess its a ploy to get people to support GOPe candidates for this year’s elections especially the US Senate to promote the idea that there may be a vote to impeach him and then votes to convict him in some Senate trial.
Two political parties (D and R) are moving this country in the same direction with more spending, ever increasing debt, new taxes and plans for more of the same in the future.
Bipartisan Uniparty government with European style austerity measures to please creditors lies underneath all the political noise coming out of Washington and airing on radio talk shows.
I don’t know. Impeachment is a political process not a criminal one. I am not sure 2/3 of the Senate would vote to make Joey Biden POTUS.

Never was a Senate trial.. He resigned when confronted by Senators from both parties who told him face to face that the votes were there to convict if he was impeached.
