HOUSTON, TexasState Representative Debbie Riddle (R-Tomball) told Breitbart Texas she spoke with Governor Rick Perrys (R-TX) Office and they confirmed the surge to deal with the Texas border crisis is about to begin. Details are not available at this time, but Riddle said, It is going to happen.
Riddle spoke with Governor Perrys office about the issue and was assured it is going to be coming soon. She said Governor Perrys office is working very closely with Lt. Governor David Dewhursts office along with the office of House Speaker Joe Straus.
They are gathering together everything they need to begin this right away, Riddle said. She told Breitbart Texas that she could not divulge any information about exactly when, how long, and where the surge would be for reasons of operational security. She also could not disclose what the operational objectives would be at this time.
Riddle said, We are going to feel this particularly here in the Houston area because of Houstons role as a command and control center for the cartels--for both their drug and human trafficking operations. She added that Texas Department of Public Safety Director (DPS) Steve McCraw told her last week that Houston is still the hub for these operations.
Riddle said, Governor Perry is very angry that the feds are doing nothing about this problem. She went on to say, I didnt expect the feds to do anything."(continued)

Can you imagine if the FBI showed up at the WhiteHouse and perp walked obammy out in handcuffs? Oh my gosh.... it would be a national holiday for some, and the start of world war 4 for others. (we’re already in wwIII in the middle east)
Well, you say people down there are sick of this as well...I disagree to a point...
They are not tired of it, they are either apathetic, corrupt and in bed with the effort, or they are just living their lives in a wonderful, quiet place on the border, hoping people just leave them alone...
I know this area very well...I know there are folks just across the border in Candelaria who come over here, that could care less about the border, or the legality of their crossing...
What will really float yer boat is this...
They all go home at night, or at least in the morning after the Fiesta the Friday or Saturday night before...;-)
I am not at all excusing the activity, I am only pointing out that there ARE mitigating circumstances that have been a part of the culture, one that is not based upon any political, national or cultural disrespect of either parties laws...Or lack of enforcement thereof...
I had a response to your previous post, and it kinda got lost as I was composing it...Lemme try to rebuild it...
If we siphon off revenue destined for the Federal coffers...
Do you believe for one second the Federal government and the rest of this Union (the other 49 states) will put up with Texas’ defiance???
It will be interesting to see who actually ponies up and is with us...If it even comes to some sort of actual action, and not just words (debate) in Austin...
What a vision that is.
Per the Office of Highway Policy the 2009 figures for Texas show we used 15.750 billion gallons of highway fuel (gas/diesel). A one cent increase in the state gas tax would yield 157.5 million bucks to fund a surge.
OR the state could could just trim 157 million from in-state tuition, Medicaid, and any other transfers to those not US citizens. Divert lottery money to the surge for a temporary period. The Education establishment would have seizures. Sounds like a plan to me. I opt for the OR.

I can understand that, and they don't comprehend (not saying lack of intelligence on their part) the bigger picture and what the consequences of lack of enforcement are for the nation as a whole.
I’ve been on the front line of this for so long its not funny...There are few left...We get replacements for a little while when things boil up like right now...
The right thing has always been there, it is how effective, and in sufficient numbers we are successful...
Realistic constituent expectations, are only tempered by the obfuscation of the cowards we elect to represent us...Until they physically feel the danger to their elected positions, their power they feel they have over their domain...They will not act upon “doing the right thing” it is a symptomatic deficiency among the elected caste of characters in our state houses and Feds up in D.C., but this is old news...
To make something like this work, you HAVE to look at the big picture...But do not let that stop you from getting it done, we will need not allow them to quit before it actually can be implemented...
There is a way, like what I interjected, to make this work...It will not be easy by any means...The courage these schmups we elect will have to come from pressure we put on them, regardless of how you like them or not, how willing are they to commit to the cause...
When they finally and physically see that lives are at stake, and lives are being lost every single day because of their inaction...then you might see something happen...
But I am not holding my breath...
Let them come in through KKKalifornia. They can have the extra electoral vote and their state is destroyed anyway. Might as well name it Mexifornia.
And encourage them to move to Nevada. Harry Reid deserves them.
Bingo...We are on the same page...
But look at the next page...
Do you think for one second that if this goes down, do you think the words on a piece of animal parchment will mean a damn thing to those forces and other states that will keep them in check???
Not that I feel we cannot handle any contingency that does manage to manifest itself coming into, or indigenous populations in the state of Texas...
We obviously have a very serious claim here, as do a lot of other states involved with this issue...But the same could be said for the opposition...And everyone has been paying into that pool of resources for a very long time...and they are itching to put any opposition to them down...
Turn the page and tell me what you see...;-)
“I suspect there would be volunteers, such as yourself, to help with the building (IIRC Texas is a RTW state, so wouldnt have to worry about unions). There are probably contractors and suppliers (especially in TX) that would contribute materials or give a huge discount on them.”
Here is the issue. The minute this happens the Sierra Club will file an injunction that building the fence will harm the endangered(insert rodent, reptile, bird here) and must be stopped immediately.
The response to that should be, illegals leaving their trash and destroying the environment needs to immediately stop in order to save the (insert rodent, reptile, bird here) . In addition, their presence has raised the carbon level significantly and illegal immigration can cause global warming.
Then watch the heads explode.
I am saying that there are “problems”, and that there are “real problems” that transcend this issue...You cannot surgically excise this, without looking at the totality of what the effects of the goals this effort will seek to achieve...
It certainly should not be a reason NOT to do this, it should be addressed AS WE PROCEED with full implementation to stop the “invasion” (for lack of a better term)...
Don’t get me wrong...I am ALL for lowering the boom on this issue...And making it really hard for the people responsible for this problem...
But since we have a failed diplomacy (foreign policy, and an active effort to subterfuge our national sovereignty in D.C. right now)...Our options are limited by their ability to not police themselves, nor the desire to do anything but simply destroy the “rule of law” this country believes in deep down...
There is a lot more to this than just clamping down the border...And everything we would like to have happen, will have vehement opposition to that effort...
“What are YOU prepared to do about it??? And, what are YOU prepared to sacrifice for it???”
I would not encourage an answer to that in a publically open and monitored forum...It is not necessary, the question id rhetorical...I already know what most would say...
Don’t give them the reason to bury you with the shovel they gave you...
;-)
We are way smarter than they are...And it scares them...Why do you think they are fighting us every step of the way???
Fox News covering this now
You know, there is one other option that can be combined with all of this.
A full scale attack on Obama that he has gone full rogue. His actions cannot be disputed as he has his “phone and pen”. Start talking about it on talk shows. Start running commercials.
Then accuse him of using all of this PC crap to insulate himself from any criticism or congressional action.
There is no way he can say he has republican support and it puts the rats on the spot for this election. A few psychiatrists on Fox taliking about his narcissism and confusion regarding his inner conflict with religion and ideological upbringing will get people thinking.
Of course as an aside, mention of Hillary sharing that ideological confusion wouldn’t hurt.
Hurray!!!
I gotta go cook breakfast now, yawn...
[scratch]
;-)
Cooking breakfast? Coffee and a “nutty buddie” ice cream cone makes a great breakfast. Fast and easy? No mess.... :)
Why doesn’t someone tell Obama that the illegal aliens are grazing on federal land when they cross the border into Texas.....
It’s reached a point that it can no longer be ignored. I, of course, suspect the usual, extortion by quid pro quo( you scratch my back, I’ll scratch your back) and power. These politicians are on a gravy train. They have never been really challenged on this before. Oh sure, there is the usual bleating; but no real solving the problem. This kind of problem reaches all levels from the top to the bottom which means states and local included. It’s almost like office politics and the intrigues involved. Everyone has a reason for what they do even if they don’t know what the reason is. You know what? I started wondering what was wrong for the dumbest of all reasons. When I happen to see road signs saying “Adopt a road.” I thought why do this? Don’t taxes pay for our roads? I am tired of politicians with their private piggy banks. They don’t deserve it and we don’t deserve them having them. They are also not the end all to the end all. The country will survive for the better if we get them out.
Do not let my doctor see this...;-)
Hmmmmm, good stuff...
I like the “Adopt a Road” comment you made...
“Adopt and Issue”, and then do nothing tangible about it, seems to be applicable to coward politicians these days...
Good one, except for the fact that Federal Land in Texas is pretty scarce, Thank God. LOL.
Or just ignore any injunction. Make them take action to stop the construction. That's what they would do. Just freakin' ignore the law.
