House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte Ready to 'Move Now' on Amnesty Legislation

House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) wants to "move now" on amnesty legislation.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's (R-VA) shockingly lost his primary last week because of his support for amnesty legislation, and illegal immigrants continue to flood across the border and strain America's resources. Yet in an interview with Juan Williams for Fox News Latino Monday, Goodlatte said he also is in favor of passing amnesty legislation with the support of House Democrats.

"And I'm ready to move now. I'm ready to move after the election. I'm ready to move in the next Congress," he said after acknowledging that legislation would go forward only if a majority of House Republicans support it. "I do believe that immigration reform needs to be done, because the status quo is simply not adequate. And for those who are very concerned about illegal immigration, it should not be adequate for them either.”

According to the Roanoke Times, Goodlatte also told a roundtable "organized by the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce" Monday that there needs to be an "appropriate status" for all of the country's illegal immigrants. That sentiment has lured many illegal immigrants from Central America to the United States with hopes of getting some type of amnesty or "appropriate status" once they enter the country.

Before Cantor's loss, Democrats and Republicans mentioned that the House could act on amnesty legislation before August. House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) even said he was "hellbent" on passing a bill this year. Though Cantor's loss was seen as a referendum against amnesty legislation, Goodlatte still told Fox News Latino that the "appropriate thing is to take the next step in this step by step approach" and "start moving legislation to the floor of the House."

As long as that legislation is, "All illegals get rounded up and shipped out", I'm good with it.

Just post billboard replicas of that face along the southern border and the onslaught of illegals pouring into the U.S. will stop immediately.

I hope the GOP isn’t thinking they’ll do this now so their voters will have forgotten about it by November.

If the tea party will not act, then conservatives in his Virginia district should form support behind a third-party candidate and make it clear that they will vote this guy out by supporting the third-party candidate or they will vote directly for the Democrat.

It should be made absolutely clear to these Rino sons of bitches that we are willing to pull the trigger if necessary.

"I do believe that immigration reform needs to be done, because the status quo is simply not adequate. And for those who are very concerned about illegal immigration, it should not be adequate for them either.”

So by bifurcating into two groups, he is ADMITTING that he is not in the group which is "very concerned about illegal immigration." Very telling.

The conservative position should be this....

Why push legislation NOW when everyone is projecting we have the majority in the Senate in January. Let’s start working on it then with a new Senate bill without all the parts the House doesn’t want to pass.

Was talking with a guy yesterday, a naturalized US Citizen who emigrated here legally years ago and obeyed our laws. He recently got married to a girl from his home country. His bride is still overseas because the bureaucrats are going to be kicking around her spousal visa application for roughly the next year.

Reform THAT!!

I know several Asians, good people and hard workers, that have been waiting over 10 years for their visas to be approved.... The government is punting the producers and embracing the layabouts who will need hand-outs.
Traitors!

Hollowing out the US economy--- riding the gravy train while US taxpayers handout billions in foreign aid to these do-nothing Third World hellholes--specifically earmarked to subsidize their poverty populations.

Might be time to cut off US aid to these corrupt, do-nothing governments. US aid should be suspended until the countries tell us where the money is going......and demand they put out appropriate messaging to counter the ads said to be fueling the horrendous surge at the border from Central America.

NOTE WELL: US Aid figures do not include military aid and aid from other US agencies: El Salvador: $280.4M Honduras: $680M Dominican Republic: $223.7M Mexico: $958.2M Guatemala: $391.8M

SOURCE http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_foreign_aid_received

=============================================

This report shows US aid $’s for the past few years (see page 9 (US Assistance) and pages 25-30 show various other agencies providing aid (DOD, etc.) (needs more research)

LINK http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/row/R42582.pdf

We could also send the countries a bill for processing, housing, feeding and providing healthcare and daycare for each of the illegals citizens that they facilitate into the US.

=========================================

Most Americans are fed-up---and want these types sent back from whence they came....but the buzz is Central American govts are refusing to take them back.

This is what Clinton did when the Cubans tried to come over.

1. Used the coast guard to escort them and point them back to Cuba

2. Went to Congress and they have him the power to empower the state governors, that in case of a mass migration they can "authorize every sheriff, every police department in AZ and TX, to utilize their state police, take custody of these individuals, give them short term assistance, and start loading up their national guard planes and fly them back home...

....none of this turning them loose crap...

....word will circulate within 24 hours...."there ain't no free lunch."

Goodlatte's SKILLS Act is one of the bills that have passed out of committee. That bill would double the number of high-tech visas, even though scholars and numerous studieshave found that there is actually a surplus of American high-tech workers. In March, Goodlatte met with Silicon Valley donors who donated $10,000 to $40,000 to his campaign demanded a timetable for legislation that would at least increase the number of high-tech visas that Silicon Valley has been coveting.

“Reform THAT!!”

That’s exactly right. The immigration system needs reform, red tape needs to be sliced, visa rules need to be changed, etc.

But REAL reform will not be allowed unless the illegals are legalized. That’s why they don’t want individual bills, i.e. individual laws. They want “comprehensive” reform. It’s all or none with them, and in the mean time, we get invaded. Look at the Secure Fence Act. They passed that separately from “amnesty” and when they didn’t get “amnesty” they gutted and defunded that bill and the fence was never built (it would be more than done by now!).

We’re not being fooled. And they’re pissed! Because if they don’t get this thing done, their funding dries up. And we’re making them empty their “warchests” by challenging them in primaries. And we just removed one of their powerful favorites. They are so pissed!

There is an appropriate status for the country's illegal immigrants - "illegal".

“This guy heard about Cantor, right? I mean, it was on the news and everything....”

He lives in Virginia, so he probably did, haha.

But he’s one of the Aristocracy! The people be damned! They are pissed and they want to shove this bill down our throats. But the rank and file will probably tell him to go screw! And if Boehner and Cantor (or his replacement) try to pass this with democrats’ help, they are done as leaders after November. Either way, they’re stymied.
