President Barack Obama will sign an order banning federal government contractors from discriminating against gay and transgender workers, officials have said.
The executive order follows years of pressure from gay rights groups.
Mr Obama cannot extend the protection to all American workers, however.
The order comes after far broader anti-discrimination legislation stalled in the Republican-led House of Representatives.
The executive order will apply only to federal contractors, which employ nearly one-quarter of the US workforce.

This is how it’s done. Even though contractor contract with OTHER people not related to the government, those who chose to contract with the government MUST change their policy toward every other association unaffiliated with the government.
He is visiting New York tomorrow at a DNC LGBT fundraiser. Of course he needs to do this to raise some serious cash Tuesday.
Of course the first homosexual president would do this. Elections have consequences.
Does this have any economic sigificance? Unless they mandate equal outcomes in the form of quotas for L, G, B, T, and miscellaneous Q applicants, what difference does this make?

I believe there most definitely will be quotas. Before a company can contract with the perv-erment now, they’ll have to list several queers and cross-dressers on their payroll.

If the contractors are losing money because of it, they will just ask the Gov't to cover their costs.

I don’t think he has the power to do that. If he has the power to do that, the next POTUS has the power to ban using any queer government contractors, or one that has any queer employees!
Note how we are now moving from “gay” to “transgender.” Its not just “if two men or two women want to sleep together, its no one elses’ business.” Now its you have to accept “transgender” people — and it won’t be long before “discrimination” includes refusal to pay for their sex change operations and hormones.
Second, Obama went from being opposed to homosexual marriage in 2008 (before the election) to having “evolved” in his thinking.
His “evolution of thinking” went from biblically opposed to all-out hardened activist. Obama now does almost no foreign or domestic policy without involving homosexuality as a cause.
How does one evolve from opposition to a jihadist activist literally over night? Unless of course Obama was lying through his teeth all along.
Next step in making it illegal with punitive penalties both in public and private life to believe homosexuality is a sin.

This is so that the companies can't be sued by trannies for denying them their choice as to which restroom to use, and to prevent their female employees from being grossed out by men claiming to be women using the women's restrooms.
The cost of this will come out of any future raises you hoped to get.
