What to do When Forced to Perform ‘Gay Weddings’
BarbWire ^ | Matt Barber

Posted on 06/15/2014 8:13:01 AM PDT by Woodland

Churches in Denmark are now compelled, by law, to host same-sex “weddings.”

America is next.

Tyranny’s appetite is insatiable. The secular-left’s hunger for power and control over its detractors can never be satisfied. To outwardly succumb and affirmatively capitulate to their pagan demands will never be enough.

Thought control is the goal.

Sorry I couldn’t resist. Elsie has been here to southern Utah but resisted the temptation to preach.

There is a fourth option. The church can cease to perform weddings for everyone including their members. The members could get married outside at a JP then come into the church to get a little “holy water” sprinkled on it.

The church in Denmark is officially part of the State.

That's why beast.gov insists on replacing God... so it can do just that. The beast system is hell-bent on playing creator, so it can create the impossible. Plus it's got a huge fan base.

It's ends up freaking out and going scorched earth because the opposition (truth, reality) by nature cannot be destroyed.

It's not like the beast is going to admit error. Humility and honesty is contrary to its nature.

What happens when the state decides to retroactively revoke a church’s 501(c)(3) status back to the date of its founding and charge interest and penalties for back taxes due? Before you say “they can’t do that!” what’s to stop them?

To keep up the new and improved fake reality, the beast must crush all opposition. It must trample truth and reason [and their witnesses] by whatever means necessary.

It's starting. People are losing their jobs for saying, "He was a man yesterday, he's a man today, no matter what he says." It's only a matter of time before the consequences grow even more severe.

Denmark has a state church. When your “church” is a tax funded government institution, and most taxpayers want you to do same sex weddings, you need to do what the boss tells you. Will not happened here as long as churches stay independent of the government.

A judge could choose to apply "antidiscrimination" law to churches any day, just as they have with private businesses. It hasn't happened yet, but I think it's only a matter of time, since the official line from the Supreme Court is that only evil, ignorant, bigoted people oppose "marriage equality."

It would be a shame if there were cars abandoned up against the doors at the appointed time and no one around to move them.

By default. I agree with you, but the author makes out like there are 3 separate choices, whereas there are only 2. The next decision is how you will communicate your choice.

From Article: "QUOTE: Pastors, priests, you will then face three choices: ..."

I agree. When God says do A, and the State says do B, there are only two real choices.

For those who claim to be servants of God, I fail to see how there is really more than one choice, particularly in the present system whereby the punishment for disobedience by the State is not death by torture.

It might possibly include imprisonment, but more likely would be limited to fines or even just social obloquy. For people who claim to be willing to follow Christ even unto death to flinch and turn away when faced with fines or unpopularity would do a pretty thorough job of destroying their pretensions.

You sure are.

The problem is that America, and the Constitution, are set up to have the People rule. When the People don't support what you think they should, American conservatism doesn't provide even theoretical support for a revolution to overthrow the People.

Let us assume a relatively small force of American patriots overthrow the present government. What would they do then? Call new elections and elect a new government pretty much the same as our present one?

Or execute/disenfranchise massive number of Americans, enough to ensure elections will be won by those they favor? How does one square that with the Declaration of Independence and Constitution?

How can a movement dedicated to rule by the people overthrow and replace rule by the people?

The problem is that the American people aren't what they used to be. And unless the people move back in the other direction, which I suppose is theoretically possible, there is no cure within the American tradition.

America would cease to exist in its present form. I can see it being divided into a socialist country, a conservative country, and a section annexed to Mexico (California). I’m not imagining some sort of Pinochet dictatorship, even though that would be preferable to Obama. Just self-rule for the distant ideological ends of the nation

how many times have I heard that?

They are giving children sex toys and condoms in middle school, maybe elementary school, gay marriage is now legal and businesses are forced to cater to them, the border is wide open, illegals running rampant, there is no equality under the law and the President of the US has endorsed apartheid for Hawaii....

“There would be a revolution first...”

I wish. I have no faith in that though.
