You sure are.

The problem is that America, and the Constitution, are set up to have the People rule. When the People don't support what you think they should, American conservatism doesn't provide even theoretical support for a revolution to overthrow the People.

Let us assume a relatively small force of American patriots overthrow the present government. What would they do then? Call new elections and elect a new government pretty much the same as our present one?

Or execute/disenfranchise massive number of Americans, enough to ensure elections will be won by those they favor? How does one square that with the Declaration of Independence and Constitution?

How can a movement dedicated to rule by the people overthrow and replace rule by the people?

The problem is that the American people aren't what they used to be. And unless the people move back in the other direction, which I suppose is theoretically possible, there is no cure within the American tradition.
