The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
And the depth of a family need.

Then God combined these qualities,
And then there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it - Dad.

Whenever I come to this site, your beautiful postings, music and commentary soothes me and makes me so proud of our military. And it also gives me the opportunity to say those prayers that are posted, and feel the good feeling of talking to the Lord. I so dearly miss my Dad, who died when he was only 54 many years ago. He was a wonderful father and treasured husband to my late Mom. To the fathers out there today who care for their children as fathers should, Happy Father’s Day to you.
