The official topic of the conference, emblazoned on materials handed out to guests gathered here at a luxury Norwegian-inspired resort, was The Future of American Leadership.
But the unofficial theme was made clear not long into breakfast on Friday, when a guest asked Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky the question on everyones mind: Is Hillary beatable?(SNIP) This is the place where, I believe, the future of the party is really going to come out of, said Anthony Scaramucci, a New York hedge fund manager and former Romney fund-raising bundler. This is the Republican Partys Bell Labs. This is our R & D division.
The weekend drew dozens of such men and women, most of them veterans of Mr. Romneys formidable presidential finance team, which raised more money than any other in Republican history. (SNIP) A case in point: Former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida, who is increasingly the preferred candidate of Romney veterans, could not attend because the Utah event conflicted with a gala in Miami for his education foundation.

Servants of the Oligarchy Search for Focus
I know, how about addressing the decimation of the middle-class instead of amnesty and how much money they can get from corporate donors.
"Mitt Romney says hes not running but criticizes Clinton like a candidate"
How ‘bout they focus on restoring the Constitution, dismantling the leviathan state, enforcing our borders, deporting the illegals and protecting our national security?
Electric Loser Land.
Focus? No, you are not gonna focus, Bishop Willard.
What’s with this whole “Can Hillary be beaten?” stuff as if she is some unstoppable force? She is a goober and always has been.
The article is a Who’s Who of Republicans for whom I won’t vote. The heart of Democrat-lite meeting to discuss how to become more like the other side of the aisle.
‘To illustrate the partys difficulties, Ms. Navarro talked about the blowback faced by Senator Rob Portman of Ohio when he announced last year that his son, who is gay, had persuaded him to drop his opposition to same-sex marriage.
How can we be the party of family unity when we attack Rob Portman for supporting his son? Ms. Navarro asked.’

Big surprise. Rectum ripping family values, with yoga and cocktails.
This party is not just dead it is carrion.
I think MItt really believes if he runs again he can win. I hope not but I think he may try it.
It's Donkey Scat.
Truth be known the real focus of this exercise is how to destroy the tea party and keep GOP(e) in perpetual motion.
Backstabber Romney will have his bastard surrogates
attack every conservative AS HE DID IN 2008 and 2012.
(and earlier, eg. vs. Sen Thompson).
Romney is the reason Obama is in power x2.
Stupid question. She's been beaten already....eight years ago.....by a freshman senator. All we have to do is follow the same formula and nominate Ted Cruz. (But I'll bet that never occurs to the Willard-Wonks...)
He will run, IMO.
The rules changes set in place for 2016 were backup insurance if he failed in 2012, which of course he did.
Regardless, those changes will make certain the appointment of some establishment dead soul in a gray suit as the GOP nominee in 2016.
If Willard had attacked Obama with the same fervor he attacked Newt he would be President now.
I'll see your entendre and double it!
That’s just part of the tpoi8c of the conference...
